#111 – We’ve been watching the 6’2 post with interest over the past 18 months or so and the evolution has been remarkable. Many sizeable forwards take some time to grow into their bodies and gain the level of coordination required to play at a high level. When the tipping point is reached, however, the results are obvious. That’s where Myla’s at now. She was terrific at the Expo, showing off her versatility, improved footwork, rebounding ability and enhanced understanding of the game. We think Evers is ready for a breakthrough season.

Towering at roughly 6’2, Evers proved to be one of the more versatile players participating in the Expo. For example, she showed off her extensive range by knocking down numerous shots from the outside. That’s a great example of the type of versatility we look for from bigs. Evers displayed good patience once she got the ball on the block while working her way around defenders with some nifty footwork. Evers used her size and strength to carve out space around the basket to snatch down rebound after rebound to get her squad off and running. Here’s another Andover product who had a limited role last season looking to make a big splash this upcoming campaign.
