Holmberg is a fundamentally sound 5’8 guard who does a bit of everything to help her team win. A steady two-way performer, she averaged 5.8 points per game last season and continues to grow into a more assertive performer offensively. Quick and composed, she reads the floor well, spaces intelligently, and can get her shot off in rhythm. Holmberg defends with discipline, communicates well, and plays with constant energy. Mature beyond her years, she’s the type of high-IQ, team-first player every coach values – dependable, unselfish, and consistent in whatever role she’s given.

Holmberg continues to rise, showing why she is about to crack the Prep Girls Hoops Class of 2028 rankings. Liv impacts the game with speed, constant movement, and smart spacing. A capable shooter who is becoming more assertive as time goes by, she attacks downhill and makes the right reads. Fundamentally sound and always team-first, Holmberg defends with discipline, communicates well, and boxes out. Her energy, unselfishness, and instincts make her a steady contributor who raises her team’s level.

What I really enjoyed about watching Holmberg was her understanding of the moment. She had more than her fair share of ball dominant guards on her team so she found other ways to impact the game. She was one of few players that sprinted end to end whether they were the recipient of a pass or not. She kept moving and did a great job of staying spaced and giving her teammates driving lanes. Holmberg had opportunities to maybe force up a shot or two, but opted to make the right play and keep the ball moving for a better shot. She’s lighting fast with the ball in her hands and when she did decide to attack, she got downhill with no wasted dribbles. I’d like to see her assert herself a little more offensively because she has the tools and puts it all out there for her team.
