Myla is extremely quick with the ball in her hands and can get downhill in a hurry. She is a creative finisher around the basket and is comfortable finishing with her off hand. Myla also runs her lane well in transition, putting herself in position to get out ahead of the defense and create easy scoring opportunities.

Myla made some nice plays during the 3-on-3 work and showed off a good outside shot with excellent form. Her shooting carried over into the full-court games, where she continued to knock down shots with accuracy. She was also active on the defensive end, getting her hands into passing lanes for deflections and steals that led to transition scoring opportunities.

Tran was ready to shoot, getting an open look in the corner and knocking down an all-net three. Her athleticism was also on display with an impressive one-handed catch, and she showed great handles. She contributed on the glass too, securing a defensive rebound and pushing the ball up the floor against pressure.

Tran is a determined scorer with shifty handles, using crossovers and changes of direction to get around defenders and create space for her shot. She attacks gaps well in transition, can finish tough looks around the basket, and uses her dribble to adjust when the defense takes away here initial scoring opportunity. She can also knock down threes, making herself available on the perimeter and launching it as soon as she gets the ball.

Tran is an advanced young guard with the athleticism, skills, and composure to make plays in a variety of ways. She shoots confidently off the dribble, reads the defense well, and uses patience and proper footwork to finish efficiently around the rim, even against contact. In transition, she makes the right play, whether it’s attacking the basket herself or advancing it up the floor to an open teammate for an easy scoring opportunity.

Tran possesses tremendous upside as a floor general. With less than two years of organized basketball experience, she has developed rapidly and continues to show a high ceiling for long-term growth.

A left-handed guard with a quick first step and compact release, Tran is capable of getting downhill to create for herself or facilitate for teammates. She plays with confidence, sees the floor well, and has the instincts of a lead guard beyond her years.

Defensively, her aggressive nature can occasionally work against her, as she will gamble for steals and pick up unnecessary fouls. As her experience grows, learning when to apply pressure and when to stay disciplined should only elevate her impact on that end of the floor.

Given her basketball IQ, rate of development, and natural playmaking ability. Tran projects as a player who can compete for meaningful varsity minutes. While making an immediate impact during her freshman season.

We are only beginning to scratch the surface of what Tran is capable of as a guard. Already possessing a reliable handle and strong passing ability. She plays with the confidence and poise of someone far more experienced. Defensively, she embraces the challenge of guarding opposing ball handlers. While her overall play revealed a remarkably high ceiling for someone who has only been playing organized basketball for two years. A natural athlete, Tran has the ability to get to difficult spots on the floor with the ball and create offense in the process.

Tran does not have an off switch. A high-motor point guard with a left-handed release, she sees the floor like a player well beyond her years. Considering she has been playing organized basketball for less than two years, her ceiling is incredibly high. Her athleticism impacts the game in multiple ways, especially defensively where her quick hands allow her to pick pockets in the open floor and immediately push the pace in transition. With her energy, instincts, and feel for the game already standing out, Tran is a name worth remembering.

Myla made you notice with her shooting. She knocked down some threes in drills and then some more in half court sets. In time you start to realize that she has hit about 8 or 9 three pointers in a row. During the 5 on 5 play the three pointers didn’t stop reining in, however, she showed that when the defense did decide that they needed to close out better, her blow by game was nice too as she got to the rim repeatedly.
