Holmes has one of the traits coaches can’t teach: She has a competitive drive and the will to win. All. The. Time. There is never a game where a coach needs to worry about whether she will do everything and anything necessary to win a basketball game. There is never a practice where a coach needs to worry about whether she will do everything and anything necessary to improve in practice. She will push everyone to win a game, even if it is a fall-league contest. She pushes herself and her mentality is “it is never acceptable for her to have an off game.” Coach Edwards goes to battle knowing she will give 100 percent every time. She has the athleticism to back up the drive and she is a sneaky left-handed player, who plays bigger than she actually is.

Natalia is out of Washington HS in West Virginia. She is a really quick lefty with a nice release and form on her shot. She has accurate long range passing with the ability too see the entire floor. She was really tough on defense and shot the ball well. I was impressed with my first viewing of her.

Next level coaches need to get on this guard ASAP! She continues to wreck havoc on any team she plays against. Holmes is one of the top defenders in the state. She’s quick with excellent handles. If, or should I say when she beats you off the dribble, she will find the open teammate. Natalia is a high IQ player with an all-around game. She is the athlete that makes 25 points, 10 assists, and 5 rebounds in a single game look easy. Holmes is a natural that will continue to climb the ladders.

Holmes is a true floor general. She does an excellent job controlling the offense. The lefty knows how to create offense for herself and her teammates. She has elite court vision! Natalia makes an impact on every possession on both sides of the floor. She plays under control and embodies exactly what you want in a point guard. Holmes can play off the ball when needed too. This one is a young star in the making!
