Expert Analysis
Evan Bell | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Natalie is an unsung hero in the backcourt who doesn’t get all the limelight but quietly contributes in every phase of the game, leading the team towards success. Against an extremely talented and athletic opponent, Natalie didn’t yield an inch. She dropped in a floater on a hard drive, buried a corner three, caught a pass with soft hands for a strong finish off two feet, and sprinted in to secure offensive rebounds. She battled on defense to stop dribble penetration and stayed active in the passing lanes. Natalie cut backdoor to score layups with smooth transfers, including an acrobatic and-one layup through contact with a shooter’s touch. Natalie turned in an impressive performance for Salem to start the day at BCAM Reaching Higher.

Has a high urgency with the ball by hustling out of bounds to throw it off her defender. She was a game changer by adding big time possessions on offense. Refusing to give up and likes making a broken play work for her team

Natalie pestered perimeter ball-handlers with her quick lateral footwork and jumped up twice for bat-down steals that resulted in fast-break layups. She boxed out effectively and sprinted in to secure rebounds. Natalie found open gaps in the zone to catch passes in the paint with soft hands and drained a wing three. Natalie was active in the passing lanes, an effective facilitator, used a good high rip move to penetrate off the dribble, drained a corner jumper, and finished at the front of the group during sprints. Her two-way instincts, effort, and multidimensional skills set stand out.

Natalie made a comprehensive difference on the court that helped Michigan Vice 16U win their pool at the PGH MI College Tour II. She cut backdoor for a catch and finish, used effective pivots to keep the ball protected, made strong kickouts, made long outlet passes up the court in transition, and reversed the court quickly. Natalie threaded the needle on a great wrap-around entry pass through a tight window to a cutter, putting a ton of English and the right amount of touch on the bounce pass for the assist. She knocked down a foul line jumper, scored a layup, and hit key free throws down the stretch to help secure the win.
