NaZiah is a pure point guard who can fit into just about any style of play and handles pressure well in the backcourt. She is always looking to find the open player while also having the ability to knock down the three. When the opportunity is there, she can get into the paint and create opportunities for herself.

NaZiah was coming off a good June-July and really seemed to be clicking on all cylinders. She was finding her rhythm with the ball in her hands while continuing to be a pest defensively and making things difficult for opposing players. Those are all things her team will miss having on the floor this upcoming season.

Newbins is a pro’s pro at the point guard position. She plays the position with the poise of a seasoned veteran, dictating the game’s rhythm with confidence. Her ball-handling under pressure is a hidden gem. She weaves through defenders to set up teammates for easy buckets. Newbins attacks the rim decisively and always seems to make the right play. On defense, her quickness and tenacity makes her a constant nuisance. Next season, expect Newbins to elevate her game and stake her claim as the top point guard in her class.

Newbins is a prototypical pass-first point guard, someone any coach would love to have on their team. She controls the game with her ability to push the pace or slow it down as needed. As a leader, Newbins does a great job of getting her team into the correct offensive sets or plays. She excels at setting up her teammates with her passing ability. Defensively, she uses her quickness to fluster opponents and force turnovers.

NaZiah was a contributor off the bench for Highlands Ranch providing value in a tough tournament setting. She did a great job controlling the tempo, knowing when to get the offense organized while also locking in defensively. Around the rim, she showed nice touch with runners and floaters, allowing her to score efficiently without forcing the issue.

Off the bench the freshman played with a ton of composure. She found open teammates in transition and in the half court always making the right read. She took smart shots, stayed locked in defensively, and gave her team valuable minutes during key moments of the game.

NaZiah handled the ball with confidence and showed her craftiness on offense. She proved she could score at every level, making her tough to contain.

NaZiah showed poise handling pressure and directing traffic in the half court without turning the ball over. She’s a reliable shooter from deep and can also get to the rim in multiple ways. Her ability to stay composed makes her a steady presence for her team.

NaZiah Newbins NaZiah Newbins 5'4" | PG Highlands Ranch | 2029 State CO has improved and developed her game tremendously through the years, constantly playing above her age group and competing at the highest degree. Newbins is lightning quick with the ball in her hands and consistently goes at taller defenders inside the rim. With a lethal jumpshot, Newbins capitalizes on all three levels on the hardwood, making her a dynamic threat. Defensively, Newbins is a pest who never lets her foot off the gas pedal.
