Her ability to perform under pressure was the defining factor in the Falcons’ hoisting of the state title. As only a sophomore, her game has exponentially progressed, with top-notch court vision and elite awareness that can’t be coached. This is just the beginning for the top-ranked guard in the 2028 class.

On a night when the three wasn’t falling, Kimy adjusted by putting the ball on the floor and beating defenders off the bounce. She attacked the rim with purpose and finished through contact which proved to be a difference-maker offensively. Defensively, she stayed active and took on multiple assignments throughout the game.

She’s a volume scorer who can get hot at any moment. Kimora scores at all three levels, making it nearly impossible for defenses to take one thing away. Her ability to play on or off the ball keeps defenders constantly guessing.

Banks-Thomas is as confident a player as they come. Offensively, she can do anything the team needs. Attack the basket? Check. Finish through contact? Check. Knock down a mid-range jumper? Check. Step back and hit a three? Check. Defensively, she is active and aggressive in Highlands Ranch’s full-court press. She rebounds well for her position and loves getting out in the open court to showcase her moves.

As only a sophomore averaging 18.2 points per game along with 3.1 steals, Banks-Thomas’ journey has just begun. With the 7-time Colorado state champion Coach Jarocki at her side, the sky is the limit.

Even when her jumper wasn’t falling early in the tournament, Kimora stayed aggressive. She consistently attacked the rim, finishing tough layups through contact. She also leaned on her mid-range game, rising up over smaller guards to keep the defense honest.

The sophomore guard played with composure on offense never speeding up and always making the right play. She created opportunities for her teammates whether it was at the rim or out on the perimeter. While still being able to put the ball in the basket at a high level. Her patience and decision making made her one of the most reliable players on the floor.

Kimora is a scoring guard who will get plenty of easy looks this season because teams won’t be able to help off her at all. She’s also capable of creating for others at a high level, making her a dual threat whenever she has the ball. Defensively, she generates turnovers that lead to transition opportunities and quick points.
