Nuari Filipe Nuari Filipe 6'0" | SG/SF Springfield | 2029 OR has proven to be an impact freshman for Springfield during the preseason. She led the MIllers in scoring with 18 efficient points in a road win against 4A-ranked Cascade on Tuesday. Filipe is smooth and under control on the bounce and the pull-up jumper. She connected from three-point range and finished around the rim from the drive and posting up. Despite graduating Filipe’s older sister, Springfield returned a core group that will contend for the Midwestern League title against rival and reigning 5A state champion Crater.
