In addition to what she has accomplished with the Red Devils, Mitchell has also participated in grassroots basketball with Carolina Shockers. She previously played at Estill where she began her varsity career when she was only a seventh grader. Mitchell played a major role in leading Wade Hampton to the second round of last season’s 2A tournament. Listed at 5-foot-10, she primarily operates as a power forward with the ability to stretch the floor. Along with the plays she makes close to the rim, she adds a 3-point shooting dimension to her team and is also effective as a rebounder.
