Nobody plays the “connector” role at Neis’ level. No matter where you put her on the floor, she’ll find ways to make winning plays. The 5’10 Oregon wing can play on the perimeter, never shoot, and control a game from start to finish. That’s not normal. She’s an excellent cutter, passer, rebounder, and defender, and even though she doesn’t shoot, the Panthers will give her consistent perimeter touches to pass through gaps in the defense. As far as I’m aware, she doesn’t have an interest in playing at the next level, but she’s a unicorn in her own right. She could find ways to get anyone a couple of baskets in a game.
