It is my understanding that Lesko is still recovering from an injury that nearly ended her season. She was able to come back and compete in the Class B State Tournament off the bench, showing incredibly grit and determination. Her ability to show up for her teammates helped lead LLM to a State Championship. This shows her incredible value and leadership to her squad. Any college that offers Onika is getting a great teammate and respected leader. Her strength and athletic ability will translate well to the NAIA, Junior College, or Division 3 level. She has a sweet looking shot with soft touch around the basket. Expect big things from Lesko in 26-27.

Lesko is a multi-year All-Region selection and helped lead LaMoure/Litchville/Marion to the Class B State Championship in 2026. The Loboes upset Benson county with a runaway score of 57-29. The confidence from beating such a talented team in the semifinals helped them continue their stellar play against Central McLean in the title game, winning 64-49. Onika is as impressive of an athlete as there is in Class B. She is so physically strong and explosive. She is very difficult to keep away from the basket. Her strength allows her to defend bigger girls and bully guards getting to the rim. Lesko has college potential written all over her game.

The LLM standout is starting to gain some attention due to a terrific summer AAU season. Onika might be an under-recruited and perhaps under-appreciated talent. I am glad I could get eyes on her this summer and hope she starts to gain some momentum in her recruiting journey. She is a very strong and tough 5’8. She could be a match-up night-mare at the next level but utilizing her strength to bully smaller guards and her speed to get by bigger posts. She has a sweet shooting stroke and a quick release of the ball. Her soft touch around the rim is impressive.

Onika has a great base and really strong legs.  She moves well laterally and has the ability to defend taller girls because of her strength.  I like her shooting touch.  She has a nice looking follow through and can make the midrange pull up. LLM had a great season the past year and will be right back in the mix with Onika leading the way.

Onika is a quality player and will be critical for LLM to get back to the State B tournament. She has a solid base and great strength. She is able to move well defensively and use leverage to battle against bigger posts. She has a nice looking shot and does a good job of making decisions with the ball. She is able to draw two defenders on the drive and drop off the ball to a cutting teammate.
