Speedy and shifty guard, who had a productive year at the Class 6A level. Has range from deep, which helps set up her ability to carve up the defense off the bounce. Can hit floaters or stop and pop in the mid-range, while also playing the role of facilitator. Eager to see how she does stepping into one of the lead guard roles for a 16U LEGYNDS team that is accustomed to winning at high levels.

What a debut by a freshman against a traditional Oklahoma high school basketball powerhouse. Went for 25 points, getting hers in about every which way. Showed off the speed with drives and transition scores. But impressively doesn’t just play at one speed. Uses two foot stops for pull ups, and a great crossover to change gears and slip to the rim. Already has great body control, understanding angles and ways to take contact and still score, Mix in a couple threes and Jones looks like a complete scorer.

An incoming freshman that brings versatility and athleticism to the Lady Antler squad. Paityn has made my notes in several events. The ability to score off the dribble stood out and the fact that she plays on a high-level circuit should provide the Lady Anthers with depth at the guard spot. The freshman guard brings also another quick defender in the backcourt, giving Lady Anthers the option to push the tempo.

Jones clearly has bucket getting DNA. Attacks, attacks, attacks in transitions. Either gets to the rim, or stops and pops in the mid-range. Has a good feel for when to play off of two feet, or go ahead and get to the rim. Plays strong either way. Can catch fire from three, hitting spot up and off the dribble makes. Was expected to be one of the top players at the camp and she delivered. On track to make an instant impact at Deer Creek.

An incredibly talented incoming freshman that enters Deer Creek this season after transferring in from Grind Prep. Quick guard that has great handles and poise for a 2029. Scoring ability from 3-point range to getting to the rim. The addition of Paityn will allow the Lady Antlers to play more up-tempo this season.

Another instant impact freshman, look for Jones to play a big role for Deer Creek. A handful off the bounce, with good footwork, balance and finishing ability at the rim. Equally capable as a shooter from distance. She’s another great example of the exciting incoming freshman in the 405. Deer Creek is one of the Class 6A teams that could take a big step this year and Jones has the skill level to be a catalyst.

As mentioned in previous article check out on the link below. The camp was the first time I have actually seen Paityn play in person. I have seen games online and videos about the incoming freshman at Deer Creek but not in person. She did not disappoint one bit. She is the complete guard that has a very strong skill set. The ball handling and the decisions she makes are on point in what you are looking for in the PG spot. What makes her complete is the when off the ball she can shoot the 3 pointers but better yet it is the downhill game I believe when she is at her best.
On defense she is low with a great stance and gives up no ground forcing that 5 second call every time. When switching on ball screens she jumps it and shows chest forcing the ball to stay on that side. Note Big Pet Peeve when switching ball screens so that was a check in my notes. The incoming freshman adds another young guard that likes to run and play defense to the Lady Antlers backcourt. Looking forward to watching this season.

Got around the wings and top the key during the competition. What stood out was the shooting form. Nice shooting form L in the arm with the elbow in and shooting pocket release around eyes as she followed through with the gooses neck follow though. Good snap of the wrist and ball rolled off the finger tips. The shooting capability opened up driving lanes in 5/5 play. A very good looking 2029 who has enrolled at Deer Creek for the upcoming season.
