Expert Analysis

Saige is not stranger to leading the orchestra filled with future division one players as she helped lead Hebron to a state championship with players like Gabby Minus, Mariah Nelson, and Kobi Barnes. Her travel ball team, HER Elite 16U EYBL, is full of players who will play at the division one level, some at the highest level possible in college. Walker has been excellent with both, but really stepped her game up at Peach Games and was one of the best players in the 16U division. She is a player who can do it all on offense herself, while also making her teammates shine.

Saige consistently impacted the game with her quickness, vertical, and ability to play fast on both ends of the floor. She does a great job collapsing defenses by getting into the lane and putting pressure on the rim, using her shiftiness and change of pace to keep defenders off balance. Her ability to stop on a dime and rise into a pull-up jumper stood out as a reliable scoring option, and she showed smooth handles that allow her to create separation and generate offense for her team while they were in Florida.

Walker is coming fresh off a GHSA State Championship. She is a special talent that uses the step back and her speed to her advantage. A player who can handle the basketball and get to the paint quickly. Can score at any given time and loves having the ball in her hands. Will pressure you and turn you over with her quickness. Sees the floor well and knows how to make the post entry passes. A player that continues to get better each game. Look for Walker to be on a lot of college coaches radars this summer.

Saige is a young player I saw early in the season in a great matchup with

, one of the best sophomores in Georgia when Hebron took on eventual state champion Murray County. Saige stood out in that game with her quickness and shiftiness with and without the ball, her vocal leadership as a freshman on a team full of future college players running the point, and her ability to create space, attack holes in the defense, and make them pay by scoring the ball herself in tight windows with little space. Saige is a player who I believe is just now coming into her own as a player with her best basketball ahead of her. She is surrounded by future Power Four players and Walker fits right in. She knows her roles is to put pressure on the ball defensively, not turn the ball over, and find open teammates which she was excellent at on Saturday. Do not get it twisted, Saige can also go get a bucket for herself when necessary. An excellent point guard prospect in the 2029 class.

Saige has a lot of responsibility on her shoulders, especially for a freshman, as the starting point guard on a nationally ranked team. Walker flourished in that role as the conductor of an orchestra full of future division one players. Walker has excellent quickness and elite ball handling to go along with good vision. Walker did a good job using angles on post entry passes. Saige scored from behind the three point line and getting in the paint with dribble penetration.

Saige is a bouncy and shifty athlete that was competing at a high level against some top guards in her class. On defense, she was capable of blocking shots and locking up the opposing teams PG with pressure using her quickness. She did a nice job of running the point and making the extra pass for an easier shot on offense. Her game was elevated when she played off of two feet or used her bounce to elevate for a runner over a defender.
