Harter is a post player, that doesn’t tend to spread the floor too much because of her dominance in the paint. I would describe Harter’s game as efficient, physical, and thorough. She plays with emotion on her sleeve and keeps it simple whenever she can. There aren’t many situations where I have seen her sped up or out of control but more-so, calculated. We are only a handful of games into this season so far but at this point, Harter is doing well in all accounts. She is scoring at a nice rate and doing it at a 67% clip. If this production continues throughout the rest of the year, she is going to be one of the most efficient players on the hardwood throughout Iowa this season.

Harter is a smart and crafty forward around the rim. She works hard to get to her spots near the hoop on a consistent basis and when she does catch down there, she usually makes a solid move to score around the rim. Defensively, she is very good at understanding how to keep it simple. She lets the offensive player bring her the ball, while knowing to shadow their hand once they go up with it for a shot attempt, making it quite difficult to get an actual shot off against her. After this happens, Harter does a good job of finding her opponent, boxing them out, and bringing in a rebound. This winter for high school ball it could be a huge year for Harter. If she works hard on her off-hand and puts her head down when things get tough, she is going to come out on the other side as a college basketball player in some facet. No doubt about it.

A player who moves from #31 to #29, has shown that no matter the competition, she is going to be dominate. As a post she does a great job understanding her size and the space around her. She has the ability to score in a plethora of ways near the hoop while not needing much room to work. From what I’ve seen she is an intense competitor with a high-motor and strong will when she is in the game. Sometimes there are players out there that can “will” their teams to victories in the end because of all the hard work and dedication they put in. Harter falls in that category in my book. College coaches watch out for this one. She is going to be a player who comes in and does what is asked of her, to her fullest capabilities every time. Something everyone out there can respect.

One of the big post presence of the Waukee Jam 2025 team is a player with a great head on her shoulders, Paytn Harter Paytn Harter 6'0" | SF Atlantic | 2025 IA . Harter is a dominate big with a lot of skill when she catches near the basket. She can attack going either way and over either shoulder, can protect the rim better then most, and rebounds like a maniac. I think what makes her really good is her understanding. She is rarely sped up, plays within her lane, and knows when/where the double team is coming from at all times. Some really promising stuff when looking at her future.

The forward in the middle that is their rim protecter. Player with excellent footwork, great body control, and a whole lot of dedication to the game of basketball. Overall maybe the best player on this roster when talking into effect size, speed, physicality, and complete basketball skill. Player who can give you 20/10 a night, on average.
