Woodson picked up two wins this week, and Emma Komaily Emma Komaily 5’8″ | SG Woodson | 2025 State VA had great games in both. Against Fairfax, Emma used her defense to get out in transition and get easy layups. Emma knocked down a couple of threes and finished with 23 points and 5 steals in a Woodson win. Later in the week, versus a good South County squad, Emma had 10 points and the game-winning defensive stop. Emma has excellent range as a shooter, and her athleticism and activity make her a great defender.

Sabrina Anderson Sabrina Anderson 5’8″ | PG Potomac School | 2027 State VA had an outstanding week, even for her lofty standards. I got to catch her and Potomac School at home against Maret, and Sabrina took that game over. She opened the week up with 27 over Georgetown Visitation in a 13-point win. Then, in that game Vs. Maret, I mentioned she took over the game. Like the rest of the Potomac School team, she started slowly, and they fell behind. Eventually, Sabrina started to hunt her shot a little more and knocked down several threes. She used her ball handling to get in the mid-range area and use her floater. She finished off her week with 21 against Holy Child.
Kenneah DeGuzman

Freedom-Woodbridge earned its first district title after beating Gar-Field. Senior guard Kenneah DeGuzman had a great game. Kenneah scored 22 points very efficiently, and her jump shot fell all game. She knocked down 4 of her 5 threes and played a great game on both sides of the ball. Freedom-Woodbridge is having the best season in its history, and it capped it off with a district title.
Payton Brown Payton Brown 5’7″ | CG Brentsville District | 2026 VA had two nice games this week to lead Brentsville District to a 2-0 week. Against Millbrook, Payton showed off her shooting ability, knocking down four threes and finishing with 18 points. Payton also had a nice game rebounding, finishing with seven. Payton is a fantastic shooter and has a green light. She does most of her damage as a scorer from three and has taken a big jump this year.

Noelle has been one of the more improved players this season for me. She has improved as a shooter and looks more confident. She has been a force on that side of the ball, and that was on display against Lightridge. Noelle had a massive game with 13 points, 17 rebounds, and 6 blocks. This was two-way dominance from Noelle.
