A special talent with a ton of upside describes this guard well. Trinity impressed all day long with her superb moves. She did a spin move and finish on the left side that got the crowd going. She followed with a behind the back move that had scouts mouth opened. Then, she displayed her strength once again by cradling the ball and finishing with contact between two defenders. She will be exciting to watch this high school season.

One of the most athletically gifted guards on display Sunday was Trinity Durant. Standing at 5’9 and with length, speed, and bounce to match, Trinity was a match up nightmare for anyone she had to guard on Sunday. From the time she picked up in her stance to the time she was finishing a possession on the offensive end for her team, Trinity was one of the least scored on players of the showcase. Her long strides allowed her to make up ground in a hurry if she was out of position, and her length allowed her challenge shots from all 5 positions.

The Bulls of 7A Hickory Ridge have been doing plenty of winning as of late and Durant ascending to the high school ranks should ensure the Bulls remain, more often than not, in the win column. Durant recently wrapped up a 2026 travel season where she wore the uniform of Charlotte Dream Elite . That included an appearance at the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit’s Southeast Kickoff where her team played up in the 15U division where Durant and her team went undefeated. Durant was also one of two from Charlotte Dream Elite that made our 15U First Team from the Southeast Kickoff in Hickory.

Trinity Durant Trinity Durant 5'9" | CG Hickory Ridge | 2030 NC takes the ball coast to coast with ease using her high motor to get to the rim and by her defenders.  She got her hands in the way on defense knocking the ball out of her opponents’ hands to cause some disruptions to their offense.  She led her teammates with the pass putting it right in the opening for them to go to work.

Even though the 15U division utilized a showcase format, the final 15U matchup of the weekend featured Charlotte Dream Elite 14U against Fire Ball Basketball Academy 15U in a de facto championship game. Both teams were undefeated going into the contest, but an 18-point performance from Durant helped Charlotte Dream Elite 14U pull away in the second half en route to a 67-40 victory. Standing at 5-foot-9, Durant is a multi-level scorer that was responsible for two of the four 3-pointers Charlotte Dream Elite 14U connected on against Fire Ball Basketball Academy 15U. Twelve of her 18 points occurred in the first half of play. 

At 5-foot-9, Durant stands taller than one’s traditional two guard. Durant displayed throughout Southeast Kickoff Saturday exactly why Charlotte Dream Elite 14U is playing up in class against more experienced 15U groups. She is a skilled rim attacker who understands that playing in close proximity to the rim means plenty of physicality. Opposing teams have to game plan for the havoc she can wreak on both offense and defense. She has played her middle school career at Hickory Ridge MS and one can expect the 7A Ragin’ Bulls will continue its winning ways once Durant makes her way to the high school team.
