Peyton went out with an injury, but I have no doubt that she will come back stronger. During game 1, Wood showcased her talent and elite athleticism. She continues to score, pass, defend, and rebound at a high level! She creates problems for opponents with her length on both ends of the floor. Keep your eyes on Peyton!

Peyton continues to be one of the most versatile athletes on the floor at all times. You will find this one defending in the paint, and running the point. She takes versatility to another level! She does a great job defensively by using her length. She is definitely an athlete that is blessed with size, and length! She has a quick release, and she is ready to shoot from anywhere on the floor. Wood is doing a great with taking what the defense gives her. If they play up, she is ready to drive. If the defender plays off, she will knock down the long ball feet behind the 3-point line. This kid is special!

I’ve mentioned a few “sensational sophomores” and Peyton is one of those! Elena Delle Donne once stated, “Don’t make excuses. Make your free throws” Peyton is shooting over 83% from the line with a recent 11 of 11 the other night! She has one of the smoothest strokes that you are going to find in the state! She’s long and knows how to use her length to her advantage. She does a great job of disrupting passing lanes on defense. Offensively, she makes it look easy finishing over smaller defenders. I would advise all college coaches to keep their eyes on Peyton!

P-Dub does some of everything, and it makes her ceiling really high. She’s a confident ball handler that can get to her spots. She finds cutters as a passer and always keeps her eyes up. Really nice stroke from three, especially off the catch–nice 1-2 step footwork. Is able to knock shots down off the dribble. Has the potential to be a matchup threat vs smaller guards as she has a decent back to the basket game, and her turn around jumper is her “go to” shot in these situation. Lots of potential.

Wood was one of the most versatile athletes at the Elite 80. Peyton spends most of her time in a gym somewhere and all of her hard work continues to show. Wood recently picked up offers to play at the next level from the University of Pikeville and Anderson University. This is just the beginning in her recruiting process. If college coaches want an athlete that can do it all, they can find that and more in Peyton.

, individually, was their MVP. She was their leading scorer, leader in assists, and simply played wonderful basketball all season long. This kid seems to be making a leap this spring, and is primed for a HUGE sophomore year!

Yes, Wood was mentioned earlier, and she has to be mentioned again! What a game winning bucket against the Lady Grit with little time left. She gets open, and she lays it up right in front of the rim with less than 5 seconds left. She then uses her size, length, and vertical to make the inbound pass incredibly difficult. When I talk to college coaches,

angry…..and she took it out on her opponent Friday night. The PG got hot from three and stayed hot….ending the game with 4 bombs (4-9). Overall, she ended the game 5-11 from the floor with 16 points. The kid is know for her ability to pass, but she’s much more than that.

isn’t on your radar, I have to ask, why? The 5’10 versatile athlete keeps playing a great style of basketball that I love to watch! She was able to show her 3 ball with range numerous times at the Apache! She doesn’t need much time or space to get her shot off. Wood has an incredible vertical that we will always mention! However, we don’t talk about Peyton’s defense enough. She picked up numerous steals. She plays the passing lanes exceptionally well. She is also a good shot blocker! This one is simply different & I know her recruitment will soon take off!
