Ray Wegner Ray Wegner 6'1" | PF/C Norris | 2027 State NE has a lot of raw potential at this time. If she is taught the right things and has good instruction, she could be a weapon that most can’t defend on both offense and defense. Wegner stands as a 6’1 with some touch and feel for the game but she just needs to continue to work. Coming into the past few years, Wegner had been homeschooled and not really competing against players within her skill-set. Now that she is at Norris, she has done a great job of adapting but now the real work begins. With the progress she has demonstrated recently, it’s not crazy to think that some college program would take a flyer on her before everything is said and done. She has size and a decent feel with a solid base, which are all things you could build on.

Ray Wegner Ray Wegner 6'1" | PF/C Norris | 2027 State NE needs to emerge as the force that she is in the middle for Norris this Winter. Wegner has size and discipline underneath. She understands that it’s tough for opponents to score on her team when she is actively patrolling the middle of the lane. Norris should be a group that has a chance to make the State Tournament this season. If players like Wegner make a statement defensively, then they will win a lot of games. They just have to stay locked in mentally and keep the main thing, the main thing and they should have ample success.

Aryanna Wegner of Norris High School joined up this season with the Titans and she helped them reach the State Tournament for their perspective Class. Wegner, a 6’1 PF/C, is someone that you have to account for her height, rebounding ability, and her calculated aggression by the hoop. You can tell that Wegner is still extremely raw but she has the basics down and a solid foundation to build on into the future. She has always been a threat with her ability to maneuver between the blocks on both ends of the ball. In the past Wegner has competed with the Nebraska Lasers for AAU season. I’m not sure if that is still the case but if she gets in front of the right scouts these next six months, I’m sure she will grab the attention of a few.

There is a lot of questions that surround Ayranna Wegner and her ability but something that is not questioned is her natural size and strength. For High School ball, Wegner is home schooled and plays in the home school league throughout the state of Nebraska so it’s hard to compare her to others just yet. She is someone that stands at 6’1, she understands the situational part of the game, and she is always willing to be the difference maker that her team can rely on. Honestly, I think that if Wegner played and moreso practiced with a high school team every day, it would do her wonders but you can’t knock her work ethic. She is someone with a positive attitude and that translates to any floor when you are watching prospects compete.
