Reece was one of the best forward prospects at the PGH Michigan State Tournament, and she stole the show again at our PGH Expo in September. Reece earned an All-Expo First Team selection, impressing with her athleticism, relentless hustle, dominant rebounding, defensive impact, and strong putbacks. Reece has the range to knockdown three-pointers, switches hands off the dribble, and uses an extra gear to drive by for layups. She picked up an offer from Aquinas in October and Spring Arbor in November. Reece is a double-double machine for Thornapple Kellogg and a high ceiling prospect in this class.

Reece contributed in every statistical category for Team 3. She showed her outside range by knocking down a pair of triples and was a rebounding machine. Reece scored put-backs and drove with a full head of steam down the lane to earn many trips to the free-throw line. She was perfect 5 for 5 from the charity stripe in game one. Reece caused misses with excellent wall-up technique and created steals. She pushed the ball with both hands in transition and split defenders with an explosive burst to score contested layups. Reece was one of the biggest stories of day one at the PGH Michigan State Tournament–she was my Saturday 16U player of the day. Reece competed with a relentless toughness, effort, and determination on both ends that set her apart. She scored powerful offensive rebound put backs, sealed off her defender with a low, wide, immovable stance to catch an entry pass inside, then finished at the rim. Reece converted contested layups off two feet and won her 1 on 1 battles. She made great backdoor cuts off the ball, kicked the ball out to shooters after securing offensive rebounds, and drove “angry” downhill to score a full-speed layup with her left hand. I described her as a “strong rebounder” in my notes and she also protected the rim as a shot blocker. Reece has athleticism, effort, and versatility that make her an exciting prospect to watch on the MBA UA Rise 2027 team.

Reece had a memorable sophomore campaign at Thornapple Kellogg, earning All-Conference First Team honors. She had a dominant 18-point performance with 22 rebounds vs. Plainwell and had another huge game vs. St. Johns with 17 points and 16 rebounds. Reece anticipates passes in help position on defense, using her length to cause deflections and create steals. She can contort her body to block shots without fouling on defense and beat forwards driving to the basket. Reece finishes well with both hands and is a prospect I’m excited to see more of this spring with MBA 2027 UA Rise.

Reece showed her physicality and toughness at The Expo for Team 4. She secured a defensive rebound, pushed the ball full-court, and then drop-stepped a smaller guard out of her way to earn free throws. Reece contested shots well with her closeouts and worked hard for offensive rebounds. She raced down the court in transition and made an extra pass for an assist in the paint.
