Expert Analysis
Evan Bell | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Reese had nerves of steel in the playoffs for Tecumseh, and she came through in big moments to help the team return to the State Finals. Reese is long, athletic, a confident three-point shooter, an effective defender, and she gets to the rim. Reese will be a prospect to watch with Michigan Cobras 15U at the PGH MI College Tour this Saturday.

Reese got the starting nod for Tecumseh in the biggest game of the season. With a key senior out, the Indians needed Reese to come through against a formidable opponent. She showed no sign of freshman jitters, ripping the net with three huge triples in the first half. Reese used perfect wall-up technique to force a miss on a drive attempt, stole the ball away, knocked down a pair of free throws, and added a layup. Reese finished with 13 points in the Regional Semifinal win.

“An incoming freshman who adds size and versatility. A tall, lanky guard who can stretch the floor with her 3-point shot and also contribute inside. Brings length and potential to both ends of the floor.” – Coach Zajac

Reese is an athletic prospect with a variety of skills that make her a difference maker on the court. During 3v3, she swished a wing three and maintained excellent defensive position without fouling. Reese continued to make an impact for Team 5 during 5v5 games. She made smart back-door cuts from the perimeter, caught a pass with soft hands, and finished off two feet. Reese secured rebounds on both ends and set screens to create open looks for shooters. She’s going to be an important contributor for the defending state champs this winter.

. Reese blew me away with her athleticism, hustle, defense, and full-speed finishes during a Jackson League Game. She’ll have an important role this winter and we hope to see her compete at the Freshman Showcase.

Reese is an incoming freshman with potential to be excited about. Her length and athleticism immediately grabbed my attention at the Jackson Summer League on Monday. She intercepted a pass and quickly pushed the ball the other way using crossover dribbles. Reese snagged a defensive rebound and accelerated in top gear to score a left-handed layup. She stole the ball away again for another layup and shot the ball with confidence from beyond the arc. Reese is a 2029 prospect we would love to watch at our Freshman Showcase in August!
