Reyna is a smaller guard who refuses to let size define her. She stays aggressive on the offensive end, applying pressure with her quickness. On defense, she’s a pesky presence finding ways to force turnovers and frustrate guards. Her approach makes her a tone setter for her team.

Martinez was one of the most relentless defenders I personally watched this weekend. She helped force many turnovers and was sneaky on the defensive end in the paint slashing through and coming up with steals. Impressive speed that allowed her to blow by defenders. Made some very tough buckets in the paint through some tough contact. Great in transition on either side. I had the chance to see Martinez play a couple times and in each game her opponents would try and advance the ball opposite of where she was. Incredibly tough player.

Reyna may be one of the smallest players in the state, but her impact is anything but small. She’s a defensive pest who’s not afraid to pick up her assignment full court, disrupting opposing guards. Offensively, she makes smart reads, setting up her teammates for open shots while also showing her ability to attack the lane and knock down jumpers. Reyna’s heart and effort make her an invaluable asset to her team.
