The 5-11 freshman guard averaged 10.3 ppg, 2.9 rpg and 1.6 spg this season for the the Houston Christian Huskies. McLaurin is a long guard that can get after it. Her strong senior campaign, led to just as strong of a freshman year on the D1 college level. The way she elevates on her midrange is surely going to make her an instant grab in the portal.

McClaurin sold me before entering high school yet her “work ethic” and desire to get better showed by her “on the court” progression and I always say no matter what you are doing, show me on the court and she did. It was a joy watching her take games over down the stretch from both ends of the court

McCluarin looked like a McLaren, sporty and smooth slicing by defenders to score. Her first step is a KILLA and she got by the defender at WILL and showed no GRACE. Her adding more to her game each season has been a plus and her midrange was clicking, so was her defense and playing the passing lane. Oh yeah, she’s long and athletic, which will always be the base

McLaurin is in the position to make a major surge on the FINAL ranking I will drop after seeing her performance recently at the Texas Jamboree and her first quarter was one of the best I have seen all YEAR, club ball included. She will keep the show right here in town at Houston Christian University and her UPSIDE is scary for the next level see evaluation here

McCluarin was one of the top players at the event and her first-quarter performance alone was the absolute best to get the game going. Guess what, she’s another “long and athletic” player who scored, however, she wanted, mid to long-range, off the dribble and inside the paint. She blocked shots, applied pressure defensively, and saw the floor

McLaurin is also “long and athletic” Yep, it’s still the base yet her body control after contact coupled with her finishing has her team on my short list to go deep. I enjoy her maneuvering off the dribble from multiple angles, going AFTA everything not only off the rim but in the air because her timing to block, alter, and (or) deflect shots is nice

McCluarin like the McClaren is smooth and can explode in the blink of an eye. Okay, let me back it up and parallel park, she’s also “long and athletic” which is still the base, and her defense inside the paint including solid timing to block, alter and (or) deflect shots is a plus. She also can defend on the perimeter, as well as in transition yet her scoring off the dribble and finishing strongly was nice yet just as nice was her rebounding and going coast to coast to score or dish
