Rowan gave CCE a spark on both ends of the floor at the PGH Michigan State Tournament with her aggressive playmaking and nonstop activity. Offensively, she showed her ability to attack defenders off the bounce, ripping baseline for a smooth inside-hand finish and using a quick crossover to create driving lanes. Rowan also made smart reads as a facilitator, including a strong backdoor cut that led to a kick-out pass for an open three, while consistently creating opportunities for teammates by collapsing the defense and dishing the ball out. She added scoring from the perimeter as well, knocking down shots from beyond the arc. Defensively, Rowan’s anticipation and hustle stood out as she jumped passing lanes for steals and created extra possessions with her energy and effort throughout the weekend.

Rowan showed off her skills at our Freshman Showcase and confirmed why she is a guard with the potential to be special at St. John’s. Rowan drilled a straightaway 3 and blew by her defender off the dribble for a left-handed layup. Rowan worked hard to guard the ball without fouling and demonstrated great footwork on a drive to the paint. She drove with her left into a jump stop, pivoted away from the defender, then sank a turnaround contested floater.
