Oakley showed some nice offensive skills while competing with Team Liberty at the Headliners Invitational. One of the things I liked most about her game was how well she moved without the basketball. She did a good job finding open space, getting to her spots on the floor and making sure her feet were set and ready to shoot when the ball came her way. Oakley has a good-looking perimeter shot, and her footwork allows her to get into her shooting motion smoothly and with good balance. She showed that shooting ability during 3v3 competition, knocking down a nice three-pointer. Oakley also demonstrated that she isn’t limited to scoring from the outside, making a nice slash to the basket and showing her ability to attack when an opportunity presented itself. Her awareness away from the ball, shooting mechanics and ability to get herself into good scoring positions were some of the things that caught my attention throughout the event.

Oakley had a productive AAU season for Capitol City Express . Her next-level value became apparent at PGH Circuit tournaments and especially during a memorable performance for St. Johns at the Big North Shootout. She can create space with her dribble, penetrate, and score with strength around the basket. Oakley finishes well off two feet, facilitates effectively, owns the glass, and works hard on the defensive end. She’s a threat to score from beyond the arc, pushes the ball with pace in transition, doesn’t shy away from contact, competes, and gets to the free throw line. Oakley has qualities and skills that will help a college program.

Oakley put herself firmly on our radar this spring with CCE on the PGH Circuit. She has a robust, filled-out muscular stature and competes with a high motor that immediately catches your attention as a guard prospect. Oakley slashed to the basket and was effective as a facilitator for St. Johns. She threw an overhead pass on a rope over the top for an assist, saw no mid-line defender, ripped by off the dribble, then beat the help to the spot and finished off two feet. Oakley drove hard to the basket to cause a foul and continued to impose her will around the basket. She used a quick double crossover move to create a driving lane, shifted gears, then scored a strong and-one finish through contact. Oakley chased down an offensive rebound, elevated off two feet, and swished a baseline floater. She took a defensive rebound 94 feet up the sideline with pace and finished the contested layup. Oakley sprinted ahead in transition, caught a pass in stride, and finished the layup going full tilt. She scored a strong offensive rebound put back off two feet, and played almost the entire game without a break. Oakley answered a three with a smooth triple of her own off the bounce from the slot. She had a great showing at the Big North Shootout and is undecided about her intended major.
