PGH Freshman Showcase: Team 6 Evaluations

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 2028 Michigan class is loaded and we were so excited to see so many of them compete at our Freshman Showcase on August 25th, 2024. Our unique format included 5 hours of games split up into predetermined 3v3, 5v5, and pool play to end the event. Every participant will receive a write-up in our articles, which is something unique and special about Prep Girls Hoops showcases. My coverage focused primarily on teams 1, 2, and 6. She is a high-IQ player with great court vision and can pass effectively in the open court. She scored at all three levels on the day. She also plays the passing lanes well on defense and took a few swipes coast-to-coast. Emma is a player who elevates the performance of those around her with her energy and hustle. She is a high-IQ player who consistently makes the right plays. She is not afraid to use her athleticism around the rim and guard much bigger players; she will even get some blocks on those taller players. We have Emma on our watch list, and she proves over and over again that she is among the top players in the class of 2028. She was a top player at The Freshman Showcase. AnnMarie is a tough defender who was constantly causing tie-ups and getting deflections. She rebounded well from her guard position and fought for many offensive rebounds. She had some nice put-backs from those offensive boards, including an And-1. She is a hustle player who any coach would love to have on the floor. She was tracking down offensive boards and showed her range by knocking down multiple 3's on the day. She showed her athleticism by getting a block on a taller player. She pushes the pace in transition and can handle any kind of pressure she faces with her elite ball-handling. She knocked down a 3 at the top of the key. I would say her best quality is her intense defense. Maddy is a versatile player who can dominate on both offense and defense. She made multiple 3-pointers, attacked the rim with excellent body control and skillful finishes. She also worked hard on the defensive end, securing multiple steals that she turned into scoring opportunities.
