Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I can score at all three levels while playing solid defense against positions 1 through 5. My length is a problem for anyone who I guard and who tries to guard me. I am a smart skilled passer and see the court well. I love grabbing a rebound and take off running to push the tempo of the game and searching for an open teammate to finish at the basket.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am a team leader who my teammates look to both on and off the court. I am intense and focused while on the court and on the bench during games. Off the court I enjoy my friendships with my teammates and others I associate with. I have a strong Christian foundation and strive to live a life of kindness and service. I have the ability to lead all types of personalities and bring people together.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am involved in youth leadership at my church, and also attend daily religion class at 6:00am every morning before school. I work at an Assisted Living residence working with and serving the residence.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I am a natural leader, which has led me to be asked to lead school and church groups regularly. Whether it is for a single project or activity, or a long-term position of leadership. I have learned the best way to lead is by example, so working hard, staying focused, and always striving to do my best have been key leadership qualities for me.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I recently moved from Wisconsin, where I had lived my entire life (15 years) to Colorado. It was extremely difficult to change high schools as a Sophomore. I found myself doubting who I was, what I was capable of, my ability to adjust, and just felt depressed because I felt alone. I only had my parents, who were a great support, but wanted to feel a sense of belonging by my peers.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for a college I can get a great education, with a basketball program that I can contribute to with my leadership and skills. I want to be pushed to get better on and off the court. I believe I can learn from every situation. Life if full of moments and within those moments are opportunities. I am looking for opportunities!
