Ruby is a wing-forward prospect coming to Traverse City West who looks ready to make an immediate impact. She slides her feet well on the defensive end to stop drives, facilitates the ball to open teammates for assists, and is a productive rebounder. Ruby is a threat from beyond the arc and her defensive energy will make her an immediate contributor at the high school level. She had a solid day for Team 8 at the PGH Michigan Freshman Showcase.

Ruby is a forward I’d love to see at the Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Freshman Showcase. She was a Top Performer at the PGH Michigan State Tournament, where she showed the ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor. Evan saw her compete and was impressed with her ability to stretch the floor as a shooter while also bringing energy and effort defensively. Ruby has the versatility to knock down shots from the perimeter, attack the basket, and make plays that don’t always show up in the box score. Her combination of skill, toughness, and competitiveness makes her an intriguing prospect in the 2030 class, and the Freshman Showcase would be a great opportunity to see her compete against another talented group of players.

Ruby received an All-Tournament First Team selection for her performance with Great Lakes Grind at the PGH Michigan State Tournament. She’s consistently been a top performer there the past two seasons and has the potential to be a major contributor at the high school level. Ruby’s ball-handling, athleticism, and dual-threat abilities as a perimeter threat or downhill scorer make her a very promising prospect.

She is a good pick-and-pop player, athletic with good handles. Nice fundamentals, nice ceiling ahead of her in the game with continued to work this summer. Needs to work on her shot which will definitely come with work. Not afraid to put the ball on the ground and get to the rim.

Ruby had her sights lined up from beyond the arc at the Michigan State Tournament. She buried a smooth straightaway triple and found nylon on a deep straightaway shot from way downtown. Ruby worked hard to put pressure on the perimeter, deflected passes, and caused jump balls on defense. She finished contested layups and appears to be a very promising prospect in the Great Lakes Grind program.
