About Run
Expert Analysis
Charles Foster | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Run operates as a true floor general with the ability to shift momentum in a short stretch of play. In a three-minute span, she generated three assists in transition along with two more in the half court, consistently putting teammates in scoring positions through quick reads and accurate passing.
She also showed scoring versatility, pulling up in transition for a three-pointer, then later using a drive and spin move to finish a contested layup through contact. Defensively, she delivered in a key moment with a steal at the 1:20 mark, converting it into a transition mid-range jumper to cap off a complete sequence of impact plays on both ends.

Overview
Coming off the bench as a freshman on a loaded, three-time state champion Princess Anne squad, it’s easy for players to get lost in the shuffle. Sveinbjornsdottir is not one of them. Despite limited spotlight, her game consistently flashes beyond her years and signals a high ceiling moving forward.
Production
Operating in a reserve role, Sveinbjornsdottir maximizes her minutes with efficient decision-making and steady play at the point. Whether in the half court or pushing tempo in transition, she brings control and pace that elevate the unit she’s on the floor with.
Skill Set
A true lead guard, she has the ability to orchestrate offense. Adept at reading defenses, and delivering difficult passes in tight windows. Her quick first step allows her to break down defenders and get to the rim, where she can finish through traffic. She also stretches the defense with her ability to knock down shots from beyond the arc. Defensively, she relies on strong fundamentals and technique to stay in front of opposing ball handlers, showing discipline and effort on that end.
Projection
As her role expands within one of the area’s premier programs, Sveinbjornsdottir’s combination of court vision, scoring ability, and defensive reliability positions her to become one of the more coveted guards in her class. Continued development and increased opportunity should only accelerate her rise.

Rún is a steady combo guard who can seamlessly shift between scoring and running the point. She plays with patience on the wing, letting the game come to her, but can heat up quickly—as shown by her knocking down two strong field goals.
She was most effective attacking the basket, using her size and strength to absorb contact and still finish or get to the line. Her willingness to play through contact led to multiple trips to the stripe, where she went 4-for-7. With that blend of control and physicality, Rún brings reliable production in multiple roles.

Not a house hold name but has a nice game! Run was a solid reserve this season for PA and gave them some productive minutes. Run does a great job of playing at a good pace and not a player that can get sped up a lot. Looks like she can be scorer look for her this spring and summer with YKS!
