Micah Ojo Micah Ojo 6'1" | SF Princess Anne | 2027 State #7 Nation VA is the region’s gold standard in girls basketball. The North Carolina commit and nation’s sixth-ranked player has an opportunity to finish a remarkable high school career. Four consecutive state championships, four state championship MVP awards, and an undefeated career are all within reach. Along the way, the potential McDonald’s All-American nominee continues to show why she belongs among the nation’s elite.

However, rankings and accolades only tell part of the story. Ojo is a five-tool, five-star talent whose impact reaches every part of the floor. My advice? See her now before it gets expensive.

Recently committed to UNC, Ojo uses her length to get to the basket and score and shows great floor vision to find open shooters and make the right pass. She finds space for her shot and is ready to knock down a three as soon as she receives the ball and stays active in transition, driving by opponents and creating opportunities for her teammates. She gets on the boards, plays aggressively in the paint, and isn’t afraid to get on the floor and fight for the ball, an all-around player who contributes all over the court as she looks to help Princess Anne secure another state championship and complete the four-peat.

Micah Ojo Micah Ojo 6'1" | SF Princess Anne | 2027 State #7 Nation VA has yet to lose a game since stepping onto the court at Princess Anne High School. Moreover, she has earned MVP honors in three consecutive state championship games, strengthening an already remarkable résumé. The North Carolina commit impacts every aspect of the game, providing scoring, versatility, and leadership for the Cavaliers. Defensively, Ojo brings a relentless approach and the ability to guard all five positions. Additionally, her complete skill set allows her to fill whatever role Princess Anne needs. With another season ahead, Ojo has an opportunity to further cement her legacy in Virginia high school basketball.

Micah is extremely tough around the basket, fighting hard for position and consistently creating second-chance opportunities with offensive rebounds. She embraces contact as a finisher and can power through defenders for and-one opportunities. Micah also has great footwork in the paint and can rise over defenders to knock down short jumpers.

What an absolute treat Micah Ojo Micah Ojo 6'1" | SF Princess Anne | 2027 State #7 Nation VA is to watch.

Simply put, Ojo is the best basketball player in Virginia, and I do not believe it is particularly close. Her top-10 ESPN ranking in the Class of 2027 certainly supports that conversation.

However, rankings only tell part of the story. Ojo brings an incredibly complete game, yet her dominance rarely feels forced or manufactured.

Instead, everything comes naturally within the flow of the offense. What feels like an average night can somehow finish with 35 points and 10 rebounds.

More importantly, Ojo consistently impacts areas that never appear in recruiting rankings. She takes charges, attacks loose balls, rebounds, defends, and does whatever her team needs to win.

Now, she enters her senior season chasing an opportunity few players ever experience. Ojo has a chance to finish her career with four consecutive state championships.

Additionally, she can help extend one of the most impressive winning streaks Virginia basketball has seen. With college basketball eventually waiting, opportunities to watch Ojo at this level are disappearing quickly.

My suggestion is simple: watch her now before the price of admission gets considerably more expensive.

Class of 2027 — Micah Ojo Micah Ojo 6'1" | SF Princess Anne | 2027 State #7 Nation VA

With respect to the other rising seniors in Hampton Roads, this one isn’t particularly close.

Micah Ojo Micah Ojo 6'1" | SF Princess Anne | 2027 State #7 Nation VA has separated herself from the rest of the class through production, consistency, and winning.

She has helped lead Princess Anne to three consecutive state championships and an incredible 91-game winning streak.

Ojo also strengthened her national profile with an outstanding performance for Team USA this summer.

Her combination of size, skill, athleticism, and defensive presence makes her one of the country’s premier prospects.

College coaches across the country will continue competing for the opportunity to land her commitment.

Meanwhile, there is still unfinished business at Princess Anne.

The winning streak remains alive, and another state championship is there to defend.

A potential McDonald’s All-American selection also sits on the horizon.

Until someone proves otherwise, Ojo remains Hampton Roads’ most dominant player in the Class of 2027.

Ojo capped off her final club season by helping YKS Basketball capture the Power 24 championship. Her size, length, and footwork allowed her to score from all over the floor, whether finishing through contact at the rim, knocking down pull-ups off the dribble, or sealing defenders for high-percentage looks. She also showcased her feel for the game by splitting defenders, making difficult entry passes, drawing trips to the free throw line, and playing with an energy and passion that stood out until the end.

Ojo is an elite two-way player whose combination of size, athleticism, and motor allows her to impact the entire game. She excels in transition, attacks the basket with purpose, rebounds at a high level, and embraces the challenge of guarding top opposing players while maintaining impressive offensive production. She plays with versatility, toughness, and the ability to take over games in critical moments.

When the 2026–2027 season finally comes to a close, Micah Ojo Micah Ojo 6'1" | SF Princess Anne | 2027 State #7 Nation VA may very well leave behind one of the most decorated girls basketball careers Hampton Roads has ever seen.

Already owning three state championships. Ojo now enters her final season chasing a fourth ring following the retirement of legendary head coach Darnell Dozier. Creating a storyline that adds even more weight to an already historic career.

But championships alone do not define Ojo’s greatness.

A true five-tool player, Ojo impacts the game in every imaginable way. Her scoring jumps off the stat sheet, averaging 25 points per game. However, it is the details of her game that separate her from most stars. The hustle plays, rebounding, and defensive intensity. The willingness to embrace the toughest matchup on the floor every single night.

She does not just carry the spotlight she carries responsibility.

Ojo’s motor, toughness, and work ethic elevate her beyond simply being a prolific scorer. She plays with the urgency of someone unwilling to let standards slip, even after years of dominance.

Now the question becomes: Can Ojo lead her squad to a fourth consecutive state title in the first season of a new era?

Because replacing a legendary coach is difficult.

Replacing the culture of winning they built together?
That is even harder.

And that challenge may ultimately define the final chapter of Micah Ojo Micah Ojo 6'1" | SF Princess Anne | 2027 State #7 Nation VA ‘s legacy.

Ojo dominates both ends with her size, athleticism, and ability to impact the game in multiple ways. A nationally ranked prospect and USA Basketball gold medalist, she continues to produce at a high level in big moments. Her presence and ability to take over games make her one of the elite players in the class.
