Not only is Ryanne Nelke Ryanne Nelke 6'0" | SG Greenwood | 2027 State AR new to the 2027 rankings, but she is also new to the state of Arkansas, so give this absolute hooper a warm welcome.

Nelke is coming off a successful junior campaign at Roland High School in Oklahoma, eclipsing 1,000 career points and averaging around 21 points per game. Nelke will be bringing her incredible shooting to the 5A classification this coming year, as she shot well over a 40% clip from 3 last season.

Clearly, Nelke is a deadly shooter. She has excellent fundamentals on her jumpshot: a high shooting arc, a quick release on her shot, and excellent follow-through. But of course, you can’t be JUST a shooter and ranked inside the top 25, and she is more than capable of creating her own shot.

However, Greenwood’s offense will more than likely revolve around this newcomer, and I suspect the 5A West is going to have a hard time with the Lady Bulldogs.

Easton McCollough Easton McCollough 5'9" | SG Farmington | 2028 State #21 Nation AR drew big crowds of college coaches and fans of other teams who happened to be walking by and rightly so. As soon as I sat down for the game with the Michigan Mysitcs, one of their parents I knew said that “20 has been making a lot of threes for them”. She was talking about Nelke. In the next few minutes on cue, Nelke buried two threes, one from the corner and the other from the wing about 5 feet from me. She was 2-3 feet behind the line when she let it go and it looked good the entire way. She moved very ewll without the ball, especiallly when teams trapped McCollough (like the Mystics) as soon as she crossed half court. Instead of running towards the chaos and bringing her defender with her, Ryan read and reacted then relocated and made herself available. When she got the basketball it did not take long for her to get her feet set, shoulders squared, and the ball released and rotating towards the basket. She will be a very good player for Northeastern State where she has committed to play on the next level.

Went for at least 5 three pointers with near perfect precision in this victory for Flight. Give her an open look with set feet and she might as well be automatic. The eastern Oklahoma standout also drained a couple from college range. Nelke knows her strengths, plays to them and stars as a pure offensive weapon from three.

The eastern Oklahoma standout runs with a teams full of snipers and in their opening victory Nelke connected six times form deep. And it’s not because she’s a volume chucker, she’s a floor spacing threat who runs to her spots and gets hers in the flow off the offense. Even making the right passes to pass up good looks to get her teammates great looks. The Roland Lady Ranger is one of the higher floor college prospects in Oklahoma because of her shooting, outstanding size and great understanding of her role.

Arguably the best pure shooter in the Class of 2027. Especially when factoring in her ability to hit form 25+ plus feet. Often does her best work as a spot up threat and movement shooter. But does have some capabilities to hit from distance. Ideal size and good functional athleticism makes her a no brainer future collegiate producer.

Nelke is a pure shooter. Multiple times she connected from nearly the Ranger logos on the court. She pulled once in transition, while the other times she made it look easy as a catch and shoot weapon. Impactful defender too, with long arms and speed to force steals and then race away for easy scores. Movement shooter, with a clear path to quick impact at the next level as a “3 and D” guard.

Simply a weapon from beyond the arc, Nelke must be accounted for. Which opens up spacing for her teammates. And if she’s left unaccounted, she can change games with multiple makes. Her shooting has led to wins for Roland, with back to back Class 3A State Tournament appearances. While she spent her spring and summer as part of a loaded AAO Flight team, excelling in a role that would be similar to her collegiate future.

Nelke has prototypical size for an off the ball shooting specialist. And the shooting ability to fit the role to a T. Which, she does on a loaded AAO Flight 16U team that is filled with future high level college basketball players. Nelke must be accounted for along the perimeter, as she’s always ready to shoot. Along with impressing in AAU play, she’s helped Roland to two straight State Tournament appearances. And picked up NOAA Conference MVP honors. NSU offered this spring, and it should be the first of many offers.

On Saturday Nelke proved why she’s one of the top shooters in Oklahoma. Nelke is always ready to shoot, and moves well to open space to make herself available. From smart cuts to the rim, to finding the open spots along the three point line. While many of her threes were clean makes, she even got the shooter’s roll on one make. More proof to how cleanly she shoots the ball from distance. Which with her shooting and height, it’s no surprise NSU recently offered.

The elite shooter is putting up big numbers out in eastern Oklahoma for the Lady Rangers. She makes corner threes look like layups, and must be accounted every time she crosses halfcourt. Hit 7 three pointers in a win over Stigler. Put 22 points on top 10 Class 2A Howe with 5 three pointers. Has next level size, with ideal long limbs to go along with her textbook shooting. Nelke and company reached the Big House last year, but will be looking to extend their stay after a quarterfinals exit in Class 3A.
