About Rylee

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a 5'8" player transitioning back and forth from playing center to being a wing, my game is all about adapting and conquering, and make sure I leave my all out on the court. I play with a lot of heart, using my physicality and post skills to create opportunities, while also developing my guard skills to handle the ball effectively.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a bubbly and outgoing person who brings a lot of energy, both on and off the court. I love being around my teammates and keeping the vibe positive, but I also know when it’s time to lock in during games or practice. When it matters, I stay focused, play disciplined, and do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I participate in my school’s student council and serve on my class officer board as the Historian.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a team captain and speaking captain for JV, I’ve developed strong leadership and communication skills. I help guide my team, keep everyone motivated, and make sure we’re working together. I’ve also built trust with my teammates, so they feel comfortable coming to me for help, advice, or support.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is dealing with injuries that have caused me to miss a lot of games. It’s been frustrating and sometimes makes me feel like I’m falling behind or missing out, but I always stay determined to come back stronger and give my full effort. Another challenge I’ve worked through is my mental health, both in sports and in everyday life.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that focuses on the career path I want to pursue, which is communications, so I can work toward becoming a sports broadcaster. At the same time, I want a school with a strong basketball program because playing at the college level has always been a goal of mine since I was young, no matter what level it is.
