Rylee McLucas may be ending her high school career at Link Academy in Missouri but growing up she was located in Nebraska so it’s only right that we cover her most recent commitment. Last week McLucas committed to Hutchinson CC out of Hutchinson, Kansas. This was a school that McLucas had high on her list prior to her commitment and once she was offered, the decision was a no-brainer. This relationship should be beneficial for both parties. McLucas being a SF/CG at 6’0, that can score at all three offensive levels, as well as being a sound defender in the half court is going to be a Pro for the Dragons. On the flip side, from an individual standpoint I think this is a place that is going to help grow their prospects for the next level and McLucas will be a by-product of that over-time.

has stepped away from Nebraska to join

in Missouri to finish out her high school career and she is already making a bang. McLucas stood out on the day as someone with a superior mixture of shooting ability, size, and skill. She demonstrated that she is a handful to deal with in 1v1 situations defensively and she is productive in most moves she makes. I think this move to Link is going to be a major one. If she actually see’s the floor, it’s going to help her tremendously in the long run but as for this Elite camp, she definitely stood out to all the coaches that were watching.

This is going to be one of the last times that I mentioned Forward, Rylee McLucas. McLucas is someone that has recently switched High School’s, moving from Nebraska to Missouri to compete with the Nationally ranked Link Academy. McLucas is 6’0, she has a three level offensive scoring ability, she has a smart head on her shoulders, she is decently athletic, and she can be moved around the high school floor in a number of ways, always yielding results in the end in some form/facet. At Link she is going to have to show that she can compete at a college level if she wants to see the floor right away. If she comes in and plays to her strengths, I’m sure she will be just fine and in the end, end up in a place that fits her play-style at the next level. She works hard and that’s usually how things tend to work in the end for those individuals.

. McLucas is a lengthy Small Forward/3-guard. She can handle at an adequate rate, while being a solid rebounder on both sides of the floor. Her ability to shoot the basketball for her size at 6’0 is something that stands out to anyone watching her compete. Not to mention, that she has this ability but doesn’t settle. If she has a better look cutting to the rim, she will take it and score in the most efficient way possible. Something collegiate recruiters love to see. As of most recent, McLucas has received collegiate interest to compete at the next level but this move to Link could change everything. She will have more eyes on her moving forward so I’m sure the interest will continue to rise. Especially considering she is competing with a well respected and loaded team in ETG Midwest
Elite
3SSB the rest of July.

out of the 2025 Class will be someone that we speak about several times over this upcoming Winter season because of her versatility and role on her Millard North team. McLucas transferred last season and put together a really nice year as a whole. This AAU season, she has joined up with
Elite
3SSB’] and she has done a great job of making her mark on a team that has several D1 prospects. With her effort and production, the past few weeks McLucas has received offers from Nebraska Wesleyan and North Central Missouri State. By the time we get to her Senior year, I would think that she will have 5-10 offers to choose from. Options that will all have their pro’s and con’s in their own right so she is going to have to take some visits and feel out each situation, just like everyone else I mentioned above but I’m sure she will find somewhere she is comfortable with.

this past AAU season, I left with a lot of questions. McLucas has the size, skill, and knowledge of the game to dominate on both sides of the ball but in this case, she was only hitting one move over and over so I wasn’t sure what else she could do. Well, this high school season, she showed out and showed me that she is another prospect that I would consider the real deal. McLucas has a bunch of moves she can pull out in any given situation, which were on full display all Winter long. She competes with a high school program that has several respectable players so to stand out at all is impressive. On this team, she is going to be one of the bigger players coming off the bench. I have a feeling that she is going to have some really impressive games over these next few months but we will just have to wait and see. If this group ends up starting her, then they may have the biggest starting lineup on the 3SSB circuit. Either way, I have a feeling that McLucas is going to shine on this team.

transferred in to compete with Millard North and she did a great job of holding her own throughout the year. McLucas is a 6’0 Combo Guard/Small Forward, depending on what her team asks of her. This season she moved around and dominated any position that was given to her. When you account for her skill set of a Guard and her natural length, you start to realize how impressive she could really become on the hardwood. She is someone that understands that she may have to adapt in any given moment but if she can do that properly, she knows that she is going to find a lot of success. The best part about McLucus to myself is that she can beat you in so many ways, all while being a game-changer on the defensive side of the ball. She moves effortlessly down the floor, almost like she is floating whenever she is taking steps and that’s something that stands out to anyone observing. I’m excited to see what McLucas can do on the AAU floor this Spring. She will be suiting up with ETG Midwest
Elite
3SSB, a top AAU program throughout the state. If she can find her niche and she continues to work hard, I would be shocked if she didn’t have collegiate recruiters reaching out over these next few months. She is the real deal and only going to get better with the most experience she has.

transferred high schools this season and I had my doubts but she has really been a productive and important addition to the Millard North roster. On a team that has some ballers, McLucas has been doing a great job of showing off her versatility and knowledge of the game, each night she takes the floor. When I had the chance to see McLucas at our showcase prior to the season, she dominated most of the matchups she came across. My only problem was that she was killing her competition with the same move, over and over, only going one direction. This is what worried me at first. I was curious if she could adapt to being cut off or adapt to a bigger player being in her way and that answer is a resounding, YES! She can adapt and with her natural height, she is in a mismatch, a majority of the time to most people that are across from her on the high school floor. I’m not sure where McLucas will end up for her collegiate career but she has a base that any good college coach could build on moving forward.

has a superior mixture of length, skill, and knowledge of the game compared to her opponents a majority of the time and it was no different at this camp. McLucas was doing a little bit of everything, showing off her versatility each possession. Sometimes she would come down the floor and score the ball, sometimes she would create off of the dribble, and sometimes she would move away from the play giving her teammates space to maneuver for an easy bucket. It didn’t really matter, whatever she was attempting to do, she succeeded. This winter it’ll be interesting to see how the high school picture in Nebraska plays out. There are some teams coming into the winter that will be favorites to win it all but for the most part, the State picture is pretty open across the board. I’ll be in attendance a few times to see McLucas and others compete. From everything I’ve learned/seen up until this point, I’m expecting some competitive games!

has all the intangibles and skill to play at the college level when her high school career comes to an end. On Sunday at this event, McLucas showed glimpses of being extremely dominate. She has natural athleticism and length that helps her in several occasions out on the floor. Wether it being scoring over a smaller defender or getting a block on a bigger post player, she maybe guarding in that moment. There were several occasions when McLucas would step back for a three one possession and knock it down, following by coming down the floor for an easy post up the very next possession. This was a great way of showing off her versatility to anyone watching. This is another player that has a bright future on the court if she can tighten some things up over the next two years. She has all the resources in her corner, now she just has to work on the correct things and keep on grinding. Something that I’m sure is already happening behind closed doors.
