did her part. This last high school season, Rasmussen got more playing time being someone older within her team’s system. I’m expect this trend to continue moving forward into next season as well. To the point where Rasmussen should see the floor a whole heck of a lot over the next twelve months when she laces up her kicks as a Senior. When you evaluate RR, you see the length and the mental capacity. She understands the game better than most and she has length. It’s really going to come down to continued experience over time. She should be a big-minute player this AAU Spring season as well so as long as she keeps that confidence under her belt, she should be someone we continue to hear about moving through the rest of 2026.

didn’t fall into the Top 50 in this Update was because of her lack of minutes at the Varsity level up until this point and that is not a factor she can control at this moment in time by the looks of it. That is not the determining factor to a prospect being ranked but players need to be able to show that they earned time on their own Varsity team and then they need to show off what they can really do once they do earn that time. That helps anyone evaluating a recruit, really understand what they can do. Rasmussen is going to be a piece to this Varsity team’s State Run come this next few months. Her natural size, how she goes about playing the game from an attitude stand point, and her willingness to do whatever her team needs – speaks to her versatility and I think that will continue to become more obvious as time goes on.

was one of the first and only prospects off of the Mount Vernon bench and she did a solid job of holding her own when she was on the floor. Rasmussen didn’t have any crazy plays or stat lines but she came in and did her job. Which is all you can ask for as a coach. She took up space the middle, did a better than average job rebounding on both ends of the floor, she played physicality, and she didn’t try to over-play in any certain way. This might not be the player that is going to put up huge numbers this year but if this team truly wants to make a State Title run, they are going to need all hands on deck and that includes Rasmussen. If Meester ever gets in for trouble this Winter, things will become a lot more interesting, so we will just have to see how each game continues to play out.

Going into this Winter, The Mount Vernon Mustangs are going to be high on everyone’s list. When you consider the facts that the Mustangs put together a great season a year ago, they have multiple collegiate athletes on their roster, they have a experienced coaching staff, and they all have the same common goal – to bring home a State Title. With all of that being in the mix, it’s easy to assume that they are going to coast this Winter in a lot of contests they compete in if they take it seriously. Someone from their 2027 Class, who I think could eventually help them is Forward,

. I don’t think that Rasmussen will find a ton of time this Winter on the Varsity floor but she will have the chance to learn from a pretty impressive group. If she can play her role and act like a sponge, soaking up all the knowledge around her while competing hard, then she is going to be just fine. She just needs to stay locked in and the rest will be history.
