About Rylynn
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I use my long length to my advantage and am a very versatile player. I will run the floor but I am also calm and composed when I need to be. I am a hustle player and will go after every loose ball and try to get as many rebounds as I can. I love defense and working hard to lock up my player.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am a very next play mentality player. my mindset is that if I Make a mistake on the offensive end, I need to hustle my butt back on defense and work hard to get the ball back. I am serious when I need to be but I also love having fun on the court and enjoying playing the game I love with the people I love, I am a quiet leader.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am involved in an organization called HOSA where I compete against high school students all around in things related to health care. I competed in community awareness on food safety and allergy awareness and placed second in the state. I will be attending internationals in June to compete again!
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I have developed a strong leadership role through my presence on the court. I am not the loudest person on the planet but I make a difference through my leadership. our club does many team bonding activities to build our teamwork and cooperation and I have developed great teamwork skills where I have learned to have trust in my teammates and in myself.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I have recently faced a challenge as I partially tore my patellar tendon this winter and missed the whole second half of my high school season. I have been working very hard to get back and much stronger then before. I have been doing lots of PT and weight lifting. My goal is to be back by this April and start to play again!
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for a family in a college, I don't mind if it's a small school or a big school, I just want to feel like I am apart of a loving and caring community. It is also important to me that the program is able to help me with my nutrition as I have celiac disease, and am allergic to tree nuts.
