About Sadie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I like to play fast, especially in transition offense and getting out in front of everyone to get easy baskets. I love to play extended man defense and play it "locked down," whether on a 1 guard or a forward. I can often anticipate things before they happen, and I enjoy guarding posts and physical play under the basket. I also pursue the ball on both offensive and defensive rebounds.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My personality is very bubbly and happy most of the time. When I get onto the court, I can become intense and extremely competitive. On one hand, I can be funny and then on the other, be serious. When I play, I always have fun but play with a mentality of doing whatever is best for the team during gameplay.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in the student council at my school, and I also attend FCA. I am not yet a leader in FCA, but I hope to become one. Outside of school, I am a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and involved in my youth group. I love to worship with them! I also received The American Legion School Award for courage, honor, leadership, patriotism, scholarship, and service.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have learned that I don't always have to be the "star" of the game, especially this past season. I am part of a team that has many different roles, and I lead by example and by letting my actions talk louder than words. I have become closer with my younger teammates and have tried to encourage them.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a smaller college that promotes a family type of environment. I would like one that offers scholarships for academics as well as athletics. I come from a small school, and I love being able to know everyone's name, but I am willing to go to a bigger school if it is centered on good values and teachings.
