Sage Pytel Sage Pytel 5'6" | SG Nease | 2027 State FL put together impressive summer and fall seasons. At several showcases, she displayed an explosive first step, quickness off the dribble, a midrange shot, and the athleticism to finish through contact. Pytel has shown she can be dangerous in transition, where her ability to attack the rim stands out. Pytel averaged five points per game last season, but her recent play suggests she could take a significant step forward as a senior. She has already generated a lot of interest – this will be her breakout year.

Her athleticism and her ability to attack the rim and create scoring with multiple offensive tools is what make her tough. Her floater, drive to the rim, and pull-up in the mid- range make her a tough player to defend. Pytel can also shoot the three, which adds to her versatile game. Her stock has gone through the roof, and she will be a player to contend with this upcoming season.

Sage Pytel Sage Pytel 5'6" | SG Nease | 2027 State FL has come into her own, and she is going to be a problem in her senior season. Pytel showcased an well rounded game with the ability to get to the rim and score consistently and with creativity. On one play, Pytel hung in the air and scored as the defender flew by. The senior guard shot the three-ball well and showcased a smooth midrange shot in the process. Pytel has always shown flashes, but her performance at this showcase was special and amongst the best in the building.

Sage is the definition of a true point guard—tough, fearless, and always in control. She plays with a relentless motor, excelling on both ends of the floor. Offensively, she pushes the pace with precision, knowing when to attack, set up the offense, or find the open teammate. Defensively, she was a standout this tournament, using her anticipation and quick feet to disrupt ball handlers and force turnovers. Sage’s ability to create chaos defensively, combined with a deadly catch-and-shoot jumper, makes her a major threat. As the AAU season continues, Sage will only build more momentum and recognition with her play.

Pytel is a feisty player who brings energy to every play on both sides of the floor and plays well.  Offensively, the young guard can shoot from the outside at a very consistent rate. Pytel had some nice threes from the corner and shot it well from all over the floor. Her ability to Shoot the three earned the defense’s respect and she used that attention to put the ball down and take it to the rim. She has some craftiness to her game and can finish with a little flare. Pytel’s athleticism and speed were on display. She will be a player to watch this upcoming season.

The young guard can shoot it from the perimeter, drive the ball to the rim, and also pull-up in the midrange area. Pytel has a good awareness on the court and a nice feel for the game. She is a confident player who makes good decisions on the floor.
