Risk has led to plenty of rewards for her Gaston Christian team as evidenced by the 20-6 record the Eagles put together last season. Risk’s recruitment has taken a step forward recently as evidenced by offers she has fielded from Central Penn College and Dominican University. Gaston Christian recently received an invite to be part of the She Got Game Tournament in Washington, D.C. in mid-December.  Risk competed in all 26 of the Eagles’ contests last season and averaged nine points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.2 steals and 3.4 assists per matchup throughout 2025-26. The Lady Slay prospect was one of four from the class of 2028 on last season’s Gaston Christian team. 

Sally Risk Sally Risk 5'9" | CG/SG Gaston Christian | 2028 State NC is a sharp shooter from deep, and she can get the shot up quicker than her defender can recover getting their hands up.  She does a nice job sealing off areas creating the open space moving without the ball, so she can easily get the pass and go to work even making cuts to the basket to score.  She flies all over the court on defense showing off her quick close outs blocking shots and deflecting passes.

Solid all-around game from shooting, passing, handling the ball and defending. Sally is one of the team’s best three-point shooters which is critical since she plays with dominating interior players. Once the ball goes inside the post players are swarmed with double and triple teams which then allows the inside players to pass back out for Sally to shoot beyond the arc. If she gets her feet set, she has a nice stroke and is currently shooting over 30 percent from three-point line.
