Andrews was awesome in the Dakota win against Grosse Pointe South. For the most part, everyone knows that Andrews is an electric scorer. But it was her passing that ruled the day in this game, which is a great sign for her as a prospect. Andrews was on point when using the bounce pass. One in particular she skipped one across the lane for an assist. She also effectively threw a post feed over top that put the ball and her teammate right where they needed to be. Andrews even used blow by speed to get past her defender and had a pretty dump off pass.
Brooklyn Poe

Riverview won an exciting game against Grosse Ile and Poe played a huge role in the victory. She flat out made plays late in the game and made a lot of them. Poe came up with some huge 2nd half buckets. She went to the rim with the ball and picked up an and 1. Poe had a put back bucket that kept her team in the game and also hit a huge catch and shoot wing triple. It’s fun to watch when a player gets better as the moment gets bigger.
Garavaglia had a really solid summer grassroots season and it looks like that play is continuing. She really showed a well rounded game and an ability to read the game and contribute in whatever way her team needs at any given moment. Garavaglia had an accurate feed to a cutter in motion for an assist. She scored in a variety of ways including off a catch and shoot 3, a steal and a score and a from the line after getting fouled on a physical drive to her right.
Gilroy was nothing short of dominant when I saw her play. She absolutely controlled the action in the paint. She had multiple put back buckets as she successfully extended possessions consistently in the game. Gilroy was so comfortable working off the left block. She had strong hands catching feeds and on the glass. Let’s not forget her post defense. When Gilroy walled up in the paint, it was very tough for her opponents to score.
Katie Patterson

If you hit a last second game winner, you should be recognized for it. Patterson came up big with the late bucket that gave her team the win. She played well the rest of the game too. Patterson had a nice mid range jumper and was solid defensively as well. The highlight on that end for her was probably a hustle deflection.

This was my first time really evaluating Bachert and I came away very impressed. She brought a TON of energy to the floor for GPS. Bachert was very active on the glass and multiple times she showed the ability to push the pace off a rebound. She was able to dribble through traps and turn it into points for her team. Bachert was a powerful player that could go up and score in traffic and through contact. She even scored with her back to the basket with a spin move to her right.
