The 6-footer from Maple Grove can shoot on the 3-point arc at any given time, but can also level herself down in the lane when given the opportunity. The Suns S40 standout is not afraid of the challenge on offense, especially during close games. During a high-pressure game at the Live at the Lakes tournament, we saw Stern remain calm while also amping up her team’s energy with nice on-ball and off-ball movement, which eventually led them to take over the game and win.

Stern is a scoring machine with so many plays to choose from her pocket! Love her high arch 3’s, and Sara’s ability to drive from the top of the key and score at the rim. She finds the gaps to get open looks. Keep your eyes on this PF/ SF!

What an intriguing prospect Stern is. She is deceptively athletic, and it was on full display at the Sophomore ID Camp. Whether it was flying in for a rebound or being able to navigate in tight spaces, she did it. She can put the ball on the deck and get to the basket for creative finishes at the rim. Stern is an extremely tough cover as she’s usually quicker than other girls her size and too big and strong for guards to check her. She blocks shots and gives her opponent fits with her smothering, physical defensive efforts. With her motor and skillset, she’s going to be a problem for years to come.
