Last week we began our breakdown of the best available Division 2 prospects from across the state. So far, we've taken a look at ten guards and ten wings from the junior and senior classes who have yet to make a decision on where they will continue their basketball careers. Today we're looking at our final group of scholarship-level upperclassmen who have yet to announce their college commitment; the post players.

Averaging 9.7 points, 7 rebounds, and 1.5 assists as a sophomore, Ecker was the anchor for the East Ridge frontcourt last season. A skilled rim protector who can also stretch the floor, Amelia was pivotal to the team's 23-7 overall record. Now following a solid summer with [program_tooltip program_id='712722' first='North' last='Tartan'], we're expecting the 6'1 forward to play an even bigger role for the Raptors this winter. With a couple of Division 1 offers under her belt, Ecker has plenty of options at the next level.

With plenty of length and mobility at her disposal, Hansen is one of the more versatile players on this list. The [program_tooltip program_id='712722' first='North' last='Tartan'] forward has an expansive offensive skillset, allowing her to attack off the dribble, create scoring opportunities down low, and hit open looks from the three-point line. On defense, Kaelee's consistent energy and effort stand out immediately. The Elk River junior now holds offers from Division 1 Siena College and Division 2 Alaska Anchorage.

Much like her high school teammate, [player_tooltip player_id='953273' first='Kaelee' last='Hansen'], Johnson was a significant contributor for Elk River in her sophomore season. The 6-foot power forward averaged 6.1 points per contest and earned an Northwest Suburban All-Conference honorable mention. This summer with the [program_tooltip program_id='767539' first='Minnesota' last='Comets'], Izzy showcased her soft touch around the rim, ability to fight through contact, and used her immense length to create a positive impact on defense. Steadily improving year after year, Johnson is one of the most underrated prospects in the class of 2028.

Despite missing the entirety of her junior season due to an ACL tear, Olson is still a player coaches will want to keep an eye on. Standing at 6 feet tall with a strong, muscular frame, the NRHEG forward (pictured above) is one of the most physically dominant post players in class A. Kylie is a strong finisher around the rim, relentless on the glass, and is one of the hardest hustling players in the state. Olson currently holds offers from a handful of D3 schools; Central College, Viterbo, and Luther.

Adedokun's athletic abilities have been obvious since day 1. Standing at 6 feet tall, the [program_tooltip program_id='713021' first='West' last='Central United'] center is incredibly lengthy, light on her feet, and can elevate over defenders in a way that most post players cannot. While her skillset is still relatively raw compared to many in the class of 2028, the top 50 prospect has been steadily building the foundation, brick by brick. For those willing to play the long game, the Moorhead junior's development will be worth the wait.

While she's listed as a power forward, much of McGriff's game resembles that of a guard. She's skilled with the ball in her hands, can easily score off the bounce, and is a proficient shooter from the outside. On top of all that, Kiyanah has the strength and size needed to hold her own in the paint. After averaging 14.5 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game as a sophomore, we're looking forward to seeing what the Roseville post has in store this season.

Year over year we've watched Stern steadily improve in all areas of her game. This summer with the [program_tooltip program_id='712700' first='Minnesota' last='Suns'], the 6'0 power forward was a consistent contributor all season. Already a mobile shot blocker who can stretch the floor, Sara has recently added a consistent three-point shot to her tool belt. Now entering her senior season at Maple Grove, Stern holds a handful of Division 3 offers and has the potential to take her game even higher.

Another player who was forced to miss both the high school and AAU seasons due to injury, Schoenrock is one of the more undiscovered post players in the senior class. At 6 feet tall with a solid, well built frame, Alise is a strong scorer in the lane and even stronger on the glass. The Royalton senior plays hard at all times, is physical on the defensive end, and will be a tremendous asset for the Royals when she makes her return to the court.

The ascension of the [program_tooltip program_id='718403' first='Minnesota' last='Freeze'] power forward has been well-chronicled this summer. First impressing us at the Spring Showdown in April, Smolich jumped 13 places in the class of 2027 rankings in June and was an honorable mention for Breakout Player of the Year in July. With D2 offers from Wayne State and Jamestown already under her belt, Anna is still just scratching the surface. After averaging more than 11 points and 5 rebounds for Spring Lake Park as a junior, Smolich is going to be instrumental for the Panthers this winter.

Largely unknown just a year ago, Barkor has really put herself on the map in the last 12 months. After averaging close to double-double numbers in her junior season, the 6'2 post player went on to have a strong summer with the [program_tooltip program_id='712700' first='Minnesota' last='Suns'] 2027 Bluestar squad. A powerful presence in the paint, Kim leverages her size and strength to create open looks down low, dominate the boards, and protect the rim on defense. The rapidly improving Osseo senior currently holds offers from Iowa Lakes and NIACC.
