Sa’reiylle Carstens- Cornwell is a freshman combo guard for Benson High School. Talented enough that she made varsity to start her high school career in basketball. She is also helping out JV and putting in extra time and effort to polish her craft.
Sa’reiylle is a very smart player and has great court vision. She attacks the hoop aggressively and can draw fouls on her opponents well.
She’s a tenacious defender, and in the jamboree, she blocked a pass so hard you could hear it across the gym. It got the crowd and her team on the bench up on their feet. It was her relentless effort and determination that led the way in both games vs South Salem and Wilsonville.
