Expert Analysis
Alicia Scoggin | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
London Dyton is a junior combo guard for Benson and brought speed and relentless defense to the matchup vs Nelson. She’s been working hard in the offseason to polish her offensive skills of driving to the hoop and shooting, to be a threat on the outside.
While known for her speed and defensive skills, she is truly becoming a well-rounded player. Tonight, she truly showed how aggressive she can be by attacking the rim and getting into the lanes quickly to score. Dyton’s encouragement towards her teammates and her fierce competitive driving force out on the court were also contributing factors in their win. When mistakes happened, she reminded her teammates to get back out there and get after it. This season, Dyton is definitely taking on more leadership roles, and it’s going to help Benson’s level of success.

stood out amongst some of the top athletes at camp because she was one of the hardest working players in the gym.
A well known track star at her school, one of Londyn’s best strengths on the court is her speed and quickness. Combine that with her tenacious defensive and she will have competitors on their toes scrambling.
A quality that stood out amongst the rest at camp was londyn’s friendly presence. While the look of determination might have been in the forefront of her court presence, she was sure to give smiles and high fives and words of encouragement to her peers around her.
Her goals for next season are to communicate more on the court and to get better on her offensive game. Dribbling and shooting are her focus for improvements. Londyn has her goals set on a few east coast HBCU schools. Wherever she lands, one thing is for certain: She will impact those around her in a positive way.

shows immense potential as a future college player with her ability to do it all. She plays electric 1-on-1 defense that makes opposing players miserable. Dyton is also a dynamic scorer who can score in a variety of ways while also being an impressive rebounder from the guard position. She is more than capable of running both the 1 and the 2 with her court vision and ability to handle the ball.

A super quick guard that looked to attack the hoop at all costs. She was very strong to her right but was able to create contact going both directions to the rim and showed off some nice balance and ability to get to a strong base on the attack. Played tough defense and was one of the quicker players with the ball at The Expo.

Hailing all the way from Oregon, Dyton’s game spoke as if she were familiar with the DFW area. When she has the ball on the wing, she likes to crossover, and take an inside step to boost by her defender. Her jump shot is polished and under control after she blows by her defender. As she pairs together her tight handles and speed, Dyton has the skillset to play 1-3.

Dyton traveled to Texas from Oregon for a reason and she immediately grabbed my attention with her timing to block, alter, and (or) deflect shots in the “3 on 3”. She also showed me she could defend, and score around the basket yet when the fullcourt games began, all bets were off as she showed explosiveness off the dribble to blow by defenders and finish strongly after contact. Her crossover was nice, and so was her court vision yet her pull-up jumper in the set as well as the “stop and pop” in transition were both impressive, as was her “on the ball” defense
