Serae showcased why she is considered one of the rising stars in the Class of 2029 during the live period. She plays with a relentless motor and competes with great energy on every possession. Offensively, she is highly skilled for her age, consistently looking to attack defenders and create scoring opportunities. Serae also proved to be a reliable perimeter shooter, displaying confidence and consistency with her jump shot. Her combination of skill, aggressiveness, and competitive mindset makes her one of the more intriguing young prospects in her class. With continued development, she projects as a high-major prospect and is undoubtedly a player to watch closely in the coming years.

Serae showed why she is the best combo guard of her class this weekend as she was able to create six assists and five steals. Along with that, she also displayed she can handle the ball with pressure and still command her team to progress through their offensive set.

Defensively, Serae has the size, strength, and speed to stay in front of her opponent without fouling as she only recorded five fouls in three games.

Serae will need a good sophomore campaign to put her and Lyla in the running for the strongest backcourt tandem in the WCAC.

Serae had some impressive summer showings and I’m excited to see what she will bring to the Falcons. She is just a freshman and looks to have a promising future, but for Good Counsel her future starts now as she may be one of those freshmen that can drop into the starting lineup on day one.

Serae was arguably the most skilled overall player at the showcase. She consistently facilitated offense for her teammates by utilizing her explosive 1st step and the ability to draw the defense and find open shooters. Serae showcased her high basketball IQ by getting her team set up and executing new plays with new players. Serae consistently finished around the rim with both hands after her dribble attacks. Her athleticism allows her to be a phenomenal rebounder from the guard position. She’s also a competitive 2-way player and took great pride in getting defensive stops on the other team’s best player. Her communication was very noticeable as she directed players where to go. She’s also a very consistent jump shooter making around 70% of her shots on the day.

Serae showed off a nice handle and was really quick. She got to the basket play after play whenever she wanted. She used her body well when she got to the basket to draw contact and finish with a free throw. She was dominant throughout the day and the top performer in the gym.
