Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
My game is centered around playing the 4 or 5 spot, where I use my size and physicality to control the paint. I take pride in rebounding on both ends, protecting the rim with shot-blocking, and anchoring the defense. I also run the floor hard in transition, whether it’s filling the lane on a fast break or getting back quickly after a turnover. I also bring a high level of hustle.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m naturally a quiet and focused individual, someone who leads more by example than by words. I hold myself to a high standard and can sometimes overthink mistakes because I care deeply about my performance and growth. I’m constantly pushing myself to live up to the potential God has given me. I take pride in being a selfless teammate someone who puts the team first.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
As a freshman I was Class President and was very active in student council. I’ve shown sheep the last two years which has taught me a lot. Academically I have made the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and Honor Society. I was named Student of the Year in 2023 and have received Student of the Month multiple times. I also volunteer with City Kids at my church, helping care for young children.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I’ve developed strong leadership and teamwork skills, and I’m passionate about helping others. I’ve been told I’m strong willed, which helps me lead and stay focused. I’ve volunteered with food drives, the Salvation Army, the Red Cross, and through my church, supporting efforts like feeding the homeless and giving to kids through the Angel Tree program. These experiences have taught me so much.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Transferring from a 3A to a 6A school was a big challenge that pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me overcome overthinking. I’ve also gained a lot of appreciation for my single mom and the sacrifices she makes, which motivates me to stay focused and work hard every day.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a college that values both academics and athletics where I’ll be challenged to grow on and off the field. I want a place that feels like a second home, offering support, purpose, and a strong sense of community.
