In the opening game against Stayton, Bruney had 14 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals, and in the close state championship loss, Bruney led the way with 10 points, 5 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block. Bruney will be come back hungry in her senior season, so she will be one to keep an eye on.

The reigning Cowapa League player of the year has been dazzling again in her junior season. As one of the toughest defenders in the state, Bruney makes it a nightmare for opposing teams to even get the ball up the floor. And on top of that, she is often the leading scorer and one of the top rebounders for the Fishermen. Some typical league games for her included 20 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals, and 20 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals in the two games against Tillamook. Bruney is a serious candidate for 4A state player of the year and has led Astoria to the #1-spot in the state, so she will absolutely be one to watch this postseason.
