It was very clear early on Sunday when watching Newton that Levell has really been working on her perimeter game. She looked very good taking multiple shots from three and making some in the time I watched her play. If she can consistently make shots from three point range at Lakepoint with Newton and in July during other live period events, then she should have a few offers in hand before she starts her senior year of high school in August. Shooting from the perimeter wasn’t the only change I saw in Levell in Athens, she clearly has made strength and conditioning a priority this offseason. She has always been a strong, powerful player at six feet tall who scores the ball effectively and with very good efficiency in the post. She was noticeably quicker on her feet since I last saw her play with Newton in January. She is a very skilled player with excellent size who competes hard on both ends of the floor. If Sunday were any indication then I expect her to have a very productive senior season as the she and the Lady Rams try to win another state championship in her final season.

Skylar is a player I have seen a lot this season and quite frankly may have taken for granted just how good she is. She goes about her business playing great defense, rebounding the ball, setting screens, and doing all the things a coach would want. Levell has taken advantage of her opportunities to score the ball and as a result more plays are being called for her to get the ball on offense. Skylar shoots the ball well from the midrange and free throw line, where she gets a lot. On the block she has very good post moves and can finish through contact. College coaches are starting to notice as well as her recruitment has picked up as the season has gone on.

Skylar has the potential to really cement herself as one of the better 2027 posts in Georgia. Levell is a physical powerhouse. She used her strength to her advantage against Creekside, scoring with a strong drop step. She displayed her agility and versatility going coast-to-coast off a steal. Skylar finished with 4 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block.

Skylar is a strong post player that looked solid in the game I saw as a more traditional post player. She made some nice back-to-the-basket moves and showed off some clean footwork. As a post, she ran the floor well and altered a lot of shots with a big block on one possession on Saturday. I think Skylar has the potential to be one of the best post prospects in the state of Georgia in this class.
