With all of the great shooters on this Pulaski Academy squad, it is hard to believe that one player might be the best markswoman of them all. Sophia Boyd Sophia Boyd 5'9" | CG Pulaski Academy | 2025 State AR takes that title and her 3-point shooting will be key for PA in the championship.
Entering conference play, Boyd was shooting 45% from beyond the arch. She had already hit 33 triples and I am sure she did more damage throughout the regular season. Boyd has already made some solid plays on the offensive end during the playoffs, scoring 11 in the semi-finals.
With her ability to shoot from outside, driving lanes open up quickly. If Boyd and her teammates can attack the paint while being able to hit from the 3-point line, then De Queen will be scrambling on defense all night.
This will be Sophia Boyd Sophia Boyd 5'9" | CG Pulaski Academy | 2025 State AR ‘s final game with the Lady Bruins. If she plays the way everyone believes she will, then there will be no reason why she does not hoist a trophy in her final game as a Bruin.

Sophia Boyd Sophia Boyd 5'9" | CG Pulaski Academy | 2025 State AR has taken a little bit of a step back in her senior season, but when Pulaski Academy needs a bucket or a stop, she is always there to deliver.
Boyd had a solid statline versus Fountain Lake, posting 11 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks in the win. She also averaged 1.0 steal per game in the 3 games played at the Kameron Hale Invitational.
Boyd can hurt defenses from inside and out. From the outside, she is a major threat to knock down multiple threes a game. From the inside, she drives and cuts hard to the basket. Boyd takes a lot of pressure off of the Bruins’ top scorers, and when she has the chance, she is able to take over.
On the other side of the ball, Boyd is capable of taking on the toughest assignment to guard. Blocking shots as a guard is easy with her long wingspan and 5’9″ frame. She also feasts off turnovers, racking up steals throughout the year.
Samantha Boyd’s two-way play has been a crucial part of Pulaski Academy early season success, and it will be even more important deeper into the conference slate.

You can call her a 2-guard or a 3, but you must agree on the fact that Sophia Boyd Sophia Boyd 5'9" | CG Pulaski Academy | 2025 State AR is a baller. Boyd has been one of the most consistent players for her team, whether that is Pulaski Academy or Team Griffin. This past summer was good for Boyd, as she spent time with Team Griffin in the AAU circuits and was impressive. With a strong senior season, colleges will come knocking on Boyd’s door.
Boyd has shown plenty of ability on offense. She plays well both on and off the ball. When playing off the ball, Boyd moves and cuts well, giving her teammates easy assists off her movement. When Boyd has the ball in her hands, she makes plays when driving inside. When playing along the perimeter, Boyd is a massive threat to hit threes, and she does so at an efficient rate. Boyd can hit from everywhere along the 3-point line, and she can do it off the dribble or off the catch. Either way, she is a lethal offensive player.
