The biggest positive take away from this game for Sophia for me was her comfort and confidence operating on the perimeter at her size. Sophia caught the ball on one play, blew by the Holy innocents post before finding herself with a terrible angle at the basket. Somehow she was able to get the ball out from under the basket and put enough spin on it to make the shot all while being fouled. She has great length and mobility as well and affected the game on the boards and defensively. Sophia moved very well without the ball and made herself a constant target at the high post and a bit further extended against the zone defense as well as showing in the middle of the HIES full court press. The game was played at a very fast and frenetic pace at times which limited her touches and opportunities to score on offense.

Sophia Louis-Pierr puts pressure on the defense with her ability to create and get downhill. At the Christmas Invitational, she attacked the defense with purpose, finished through contact, and embraced playing physical in the paint. That aggressive offensive mindset set the tone early. From there, Louise-Pierre stayed active around the rim—following her shot for offensive rebounds and put-backs—and continued to score in the paint and around the basket. Some of her shots were of the spectacular nature as she was very creative around the rim. Louis-Pierre was impactful all over the court. She applied pressure on the perimeter, drew fouls, and also showed confidence and versatility stepping out to knock down perimeter shots. Her left-handed drive and finish going left was a standout play, highlighting her balance, strength, and touch. Louise-Pierre was high-motor wing whose offensive assertiveness and effort consistently impacted the game and made her an easy selection for one of the top standouts on Day 1 of the tournament.

A toolsy, high-ceiling swing player, Louis-Pierre is active on both ends. She runs the floor, rebounds aggressively, and defends with length. Offensively, she’s expanding her game capable of shooting from range and attacking off the dribble. A grab-and-go threat who fits in modern, pace-driven systems.

Sophia made countless huge plays on both ends of the floor throughout Galloway’s run to the state title game. She has a knack for getting steals and hitting big shots. Louis-Pierre is a dynamic D-I prospect that should start to see offers pile in.

Soph Dogg stepped up in a major way with 18 points, making hustle plays and hitting a pair of threes. The freshman has a high ceiling. She plays very hard on both ends of the court and her offensive game is diverse.
