A proven scorer and leader for Galloway, consistently producing at a high level throughout her senior season. The Gardner-Webb-signee routinely dumped in over 20 points per game serving as the focal point of the offense. Thompson is a true three-level scorer who can create her own shot and knock down perimeter looks with confidence. She plays with toughness and embraces big moments, making her a go-to option late in games.

Taryn is another player who put together an excellent high school career at Galloway over the last four seasons. She finishes as a member of the 1,500 point club and recorded over 500 assists while grabbing 400 rebounds. Thompson was honored as a nominee for the McDonalds All American game and will continue her athletic and academic career at Gardner Webb University in North Carolina. Thompson is an elite shooter, in both catch and shoot situations as well as off the bounce. She has very quick release and does an excellent job creating space with her dribble, both making her incredibly difficult to defend. Galloway finished the season 24-7, 13-1 in their region before being eliminated by Holy Innocents. Thompson also stuffed the stat sheet by creating multiple steals per game as well as dishing out several assists per contest.

Taryn Thompson Taryn Thompson 5'9" | CG Galloway | 2026 State GA was one of the the most fluid and competitive guards I saw on day one. The senior guard plays with creativity and confidence, showing the ability to create scoring opportunities within the flow of the offense and getting down hill in one on one matchups. She knocked down a corner three, attacked space when defenders overplayed, and demonstrated good feel for attacking the rim with an understanding of angles, timing, and how to get to her spots. With all of these skills, Thompson was definitely a playmaker who got the ball to an host of quality teammates who can all ball in their own rights. Thompson definitely stood out as one of the top point guards in the building. Her defense was also top notch and she got several steals and multiple deflections with her speed and basket ball IQ on the defensive end.

Sharpshooting guard has become a very good playmaker. Sees the floor, keeping her head up while probing the defense. Combo guard capability gives her offensive value at the next. Multiple D-I offers.

Sharpshooter averaged 17 points, 5 assists and 2 steals per game on the way to Galloway finishing as state runner-up.
