This program has lost a lot of talent over the last couple years due to graduation and players transferring so they are still trying to develop an identity as a team. Standout guard and team captain Sophie Barnes Sophie Barnes 5'5" | SG Somerset | 2026 State KY was the number one scoring option for the Briar Jumpers. She averaged a team-leading 11.3 PPG, which was almost double what she averaged as a freshman. Sophie is a lethal three-point shooter that can catch fire from deep, once she sees a couple shots go in. She also gets after it on defense and does a good job creating turnovers. I believe she will have a breakout junior year next season.
